ABOUT ANET

Achievement Network (ANet) is a national nonprofit dedicated to helping all students achieve strong educational outcomes. We partner with school and district leaders to strengthen instruction, implement high-quality curricula, and build systems that support great teaching for all students.

People who join ANet become part of a mission-driven, equity-centered, and collaborative team. We believe deeply in fostering a working environment where the diverse identities, lived experiences, and perspectives of our staff are valued and affirmed.

OPPORTUNITY

The Part-time Literacy Teacher Instructional Coach will have an exciting opportunity to strengthen literacy instruction, develop educators, and improve student outcomes across Camden, NJ. This role is ideal for an experienced educator or instructional leader who is passionate about coaching teachers, advancing equitable literacy instruction, and exploring innovative approaches to teaching and learning.

The Coach will partner with K–12 educators to strengthen the implementation of high-quality literacy instruction, including foundational reading skills, knowledge-building, reading comprehension, and support for striving readers. Depending on their expertise and partner needs, coaches may work with elementary, secondary, or a combination of grade levels. The role also offers opportunities to explore the thoughtful integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into instructional planning and teaching practices.

We especially welcome applications from experienced classroom educators, retired teachers, former instructional coaches, literacy specialists, and school or district leaders interested in continuing to make a meaningful impact through a flexible, part-time opportunity.

The Coach will report to the MD, Partner Experience and Impact, and collaborate with peer coaches to support school and district instructional priorities.

This is a fixed-term W2 position anticipated to require 5–15 hours per week, depending on assignment and partner needs. While renewal is not guaranteed, ANet makes every effort to identify opportunities for coaches to transition to other assignments when existing engagements conclude.
