We deliver secure, high-quality language access in more than 80 languages for USCIS and other federal agencies. We are seeking Kinyarwanda Over-the-Phone Interpreters (OPI) to support our USCIS contract. Kinyarwanda is a critical rare language often required for asylum, refugee, and immigration cases. Responsibilities Provide real-time Kinyarwanda ↔ English telephonic interpretation for USCIS officers, applicants, and stakeholders. Interpret with accuracy, impartiality, and professionalism in legal and immigration contexts. Maintain strict confidentiality in line with USCIS/DHS compliance standards. Handle both scheduled assignments and urgent/surge requests. Participate in training, compliance refreshers, and QA audits. Qualifications Native or near-native fluency in Kinyarwanda and English. 2+ years of professional interpreting experience (immigration, community, medical, or government preferred). Familiarity with interpreter ethics, confidentiality, and cultural awareness. Strong telephone communication skills and ability to remain accurate under pressure. Must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident eligible for Tier 3/Tier 5 clearance. Compensation & Benefits Competitive pay: $28–35/hour (rare-language premium).
