Role Description The Korean Interpreter is a full-time remote role responsible for providing accurate, real-time interpretation between Korean and English during virtual calls and online sessions. Day-to-day tasks include handling inbound and outbound calls, interpreting medical, legal, and business conversations, and ensuring that all parties clearly understand the information exchanged. The role involves adhering to client-specific protocols, maintaining confidentiality and neutrality, and documenting session details as needed. The interpreter will collaborate with call center supervisors and client teams, participate in regular performance reviews, and engage in ongoing training to remain current on terminology, industry practices, and technology tools. Consistent professionalism, customer-oriented communication, and reliable availability during scheduled shifts are essential.
Qualifications

  • Strong Korean and English language proficiency, including advanced speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in consecutive or simultaneous interpreting, preferably in remote or call center environments.
  • Familiarity with medical and legal terminology, with the ability to learn and apply specialized vocabulary accurately.
  • Excellent communication, active listening, and note-taking skills to ensure clear and precise interpretation.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism, impartiality, and confidentiality in sensitive or high-stress situations.
  • Comfort using computer-based tools, VoIP platforms, and call center software; reliable high-speed internet and a quiet workspace.
  • Strong time management, attention to detail, and the capacity to work independently in a fully remote setting.
  • Prior experience as an interpreter or translator, and any relevant certification or training in interpretation, linguistics, or related fields.
  • Availability to work full-time, including potential evening or weekend shifts based on client needs.
