Role Description
The Korean Public Relations Intern will support PR activities that promote W KOREA’s brand and client projects across domestic and international markets. This internship role is hybrid, based in Seoul, South Korea, with some flexibility for work from home. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting in drafting and translating press releases in Korean and English, supporting media outreach and tracking coverage, and helping prepare PR materials such as briefing documents and talking points. The intern will help maintain media lists, monitor relevant news and social media, and support event-related communications for MICE and cultural projects. The role also involves collaborating with internal teams, participating in planning meetings, and providing administrative support for PR campaigns and reports.
Qualifications
- Ability to draft, edit, and adapt press releases and PR materials in Korean and English.
- Foundational knowledge of public relations practices and interest in global PR and MICE-related communications.
- Strong communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication and interpersonal collaboration.
- Basic understanding of media relations, including working with journalists, monitoring coverage, and maintaining media lists.
- Interest or coursework in strategic communications, marketing, or related fields, with the ability to support message development.
- Fluency in Korean and strong proficiency in English; additional language skills are an advantage.
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a relevant program (e.g., Communications, PR, Marketing, International Relations, Media Studies).
- Proficient in standard office software and social media platforms; familiarity with digital PR tools is a plus.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
