Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled Kubernetes Administrator to design, implement, and manage our enterprise Linux and Kubernetes infrastructure supporting mission-critical production workloads. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience building Kubernetes clusters from the ground up, administering Linux systems, automating infrastructure, and ensuring high availability, security, and disaster recovery across on-premises and hybrid cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, upgrade, and maintain highly available Kubernetes clusters (kubeadm, RKE2, or K3s).

• Manage Kubernetes control plane components and perform cluster lifecycle management.

• Upgrade Kubernetes ecosystem components including NGINX Ingress, CNI plugins, container runtimes, cert-manager, Rancher, Harbor, Prometheus, Grafana, Velero, and Longhorn.

• Manage Persistent Volumes (PV), Persistent Volume Claims (PVC), Storage Classes, and CSI drivers.

• Configure Kubernetes networking, ingress, load balancing, TLS certificates, RBAC, monitoring, and security.

• Support multi-cluster Kubernetes environments hosting production workloads.

• Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for Kubernetes-based applications.

• Install, configure, administer, and maintain Linux servers (Ubuntu, RHEL, Rocky Linux, or equivalent).

• Perform Linux OS installation, upgrades, patching, hardening, performance tuning, and lifecycle management.

• Configure and troubleshoot Linux networking, DNS, NTP, SSH, firewalls, routing, storage, LVM, RAID, NFS, and iSCSI.

• Implement backup, disaster recovery, monitoring, and automation using Bash, Python, or Ansible.

• Configure virtualization platforms including Hyper-V, or Proxmox.

• Experience with Rancher, Harbor, Prometheus, Grafana, Velero, Longhorn, and cert-manager.

• Experience with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MariaDB.

• Knowledge of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Azure.

• Experience supporting PCI-compliant production environments.

• Experience with Ansible, Terraform, Python, and Bash scripting.

• Create and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and operational runbooks.
• Participate in production support, maintenance windows, and on-call rotations.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of overall IT infrastructure experience.

• 3+ years of Linux Systems Administration experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on Kubernetes Administration experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
• Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)

Additional Information

• Compensation Range: $100,000 – $120,000 annual base salary, commensurate with experience
• Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM (Eastern)
• Paid (8) Federal Holidays and (3) Floating Holidays
• PTO Accrual from Day One
