About the role:

Reporting to: Lead of Banking, Treasury and Payments
Department:
Markets Technology Services

Role Overview

The Kyriba Specialist is responsible for the implementation, expansion, operational support, and continuous improvement of Aztec's Kyriba Treasury Management platform. The role will provide hands-on leadership across treasury technology, banking connectivity, payments, cash visibility, and platform governance, supporting both US and global operations.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on treasury technology and Kyriba expertise, with demonstrated experience delivering Treasury Management System implementations and managing ongoing platform operations across multiple entities, banking relationships, jurisdictions, and client account structures. The role will help create a standardized approach to Aztec's global treasury technology service offering while managing the operational, control, integration, and support requirements associated with US and global accounts.

During implementation, the role will lead requirements, design, configuration, data and interface readiness, bank onboarding, testing, deployment, and transition into production support. Following go-live, the Kyriba Specialist will own platform stability, service management, enhancements, release coordination, user support, and the controlled expansion of Kyriba to additional banks, legal entities, business units, and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Kyriba Implementation and Delivery

  • Lead end-to-end Kyriba implementations, from discovery and requirements through solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live stabilization.
  • Coordinate delivery across Treasury, Banking, Payments, Finance, Operations, Technology, Information Security, Risk, vendors, implementation partners, and banking partners.
  • Translate business and operational requirements into scalable Kyriba capabilities, prioritizing standard platform functionality and consistent global processes.
  • Manage implementation plans, dependencies, risks, decisions, testing evidence, cutover readiness, and stakeholder communications.
  • Establish clear acceptance criteria and ensure solutions are supportable, secure, controlled, documented, and ready for production ownership.

Platform Ownership and Ongoing Support

  • Serve as the technology owner for Kyriba, accountable for platform stability, performance, access, controls, integrations, service quality, and lifecycle management.
  • Lead production support, including incident, problem, change, release, and service request management, with clear escalation paths and service expectations.
  • Maintain platform documentation, operating procedures, support runbooks, configuration records, control evidence, and knowledge materials.
  • Own the enhancement backlog and product roadmap in partnership with business stakeholders, balancing regulatory, operational, client, and strategic priorities.
  • Monitor recurring issues and manual processes, identify root causes, and deliver sustainable improvements rather than short-term workarounds.

Bank Connectivity, Payments and Integrations

  • Lead onboarding and integration of banks, accounts, payment types, file formats, and connectivity channels for US and global operations.
  • Oversee connectivity approaches such as APIs, SWIFT, host-to-host, SFTP, and bank-specific channels, working with relevant security and infrastructure teams.
  • Coordinate interfaces between Kyriba and enterprise platforms, including ERP, accounting, data, identity, reporting, and payment-source systems.
  • Ensure payment workflows, approvals, access controls, segregation of duties, auditability, and exception handling are appropriately designed and maintained.
  • Manage testing and production readiness for bank statement processing, cash positioning, reconciliation support, payment initiation, acknowledgements, and related treasury data flows.

Global Expansion and Client Enablement

  • Develop a repeatable onboarding model to extend Kyriba to additional banks, legal entities, jurisdictions, business units, and client account relationships.
  • Support expansion across US and global accounts while addressing local banking, payment, regulatory, currency, cut-off, and operational requirements.
  • Partner with client, regional, and operational teams to assess readiness, define scope, agree responsibilities, and manage implementation outcomes.
  • Promote standardization and reuse of configurations, controls, interfaces, templates, and support processes while managing justified regional or client variations.
  • Ensure new rollouts include ownership, training, documentation, controls, operational readiness, and measurable adoption.

Governance, Risk and Controls

  • Establish and maintain governance for Kyriba configuration, access, changes, integrations, data, payments, releases, and vendor activity.
  • Partner with Information Security, Risk, Compliance, Audit, and business control owners to maintain secure and auditable treasury processes.
  • Ensure role-based access, privileged access, approval workflows, segregation of duties, and periodic access reviews are embedded in the operating model.
  • Maintain oversight of operational resilience, business continuity, recovery requirements, interface monitoring, data integrity, and third-party dependencies.
  • Provide transparent reporting on delivery status, service performance, risks, incidents, control matters, decisions, and roadmap progress.

Vendor and Stakeholder Management

  • Manage day-to-day relationships with Kyriba, implementation partners, banks, and other third parties, including issues, delivery commitments, service performance, and roadmap discussions.
  • Act as the primary bridge between Treasury and business stakeholders and the Technology teams responsible for architecture, integration, security, infrastructure, data, and support.
  • Facilitate effective governance forums and provide concise, decision-oriented updates to senior stakeholders.
  • Challenge unnecessary customization and promote solutions that are scalable, supportable, secure, and aligned with Aztec's target operating model.

Team Leadership and Capability Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop analysts, administrators, engineers, and support resources contributing to the Kyriba service.
  • Define clear ownership across implementation, administration, integration, testing, release, support, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Build internal capability to reduce key-person and third-party dependency while retaining appropriate specialist support.
  • Promote accountability, proactive problem-solving, high-quality documentation, knowledge sharing, and operational excellence.

Key Competencies:

  • Demonstrated experience with Kyriba implementations, platform administration, enhancements, and production support.
  • Strong knowledge of treasury operations, cash management, liquidity, bank account management, payments, approvals, statements, and reconciliation-related processes.
  • Experience with bank connectivity, payment formats, APIs, SWIFT, host-to-host connectivity, SFTP, and enterprise integrations.
  • Experience delivering technology change across multiple entities, regions, banks, currencies, or client environments.
  • Strong understanding of governance, access controls, segregation of duties, auditability, operational risk, and service management.
  • Ability to work effectively with senior business leaders, clients, banks, vendors, implementation partners, architects, engineers, security teams, and support teams.
  • Strong delivery discipline, structured problem-solving, commercial awareness, and clear executive communication.
  • Ability to balance hands-on platform leadership with strategic roadmap, operating model, and team responsibilities.

Success Measures:

  • Successful and controlled delivery of Kyriba implementation milestones and production go-lives.
  • Stable, secure, and supportable operation of Kyriba and its banking and enterprise integrations.
  • Efficient onboarding of additional banks, entities, regions, accounts, and clients using repeatable standards.
  • Improved cash visibility, payment control, process automation, service quality, and operational resilience.
  • Reduced manual processing, recurring incidents, unsupported workarounds, and dependency on individual resources.
  • Clear ownership, effective governance, strong stakeholder confidence, and a prioritized roadmap aligned to business outcomes.
