As a Network & Security Design Expert, you will shape the backbone of our digital transformation, ensuring secure and resilient connectivity from data centers to the cloud. Within our Network & Cybersecurity Services division, the Network And Connectivity team tackles complex challenges every day. We need your expertise to translate business needs into robust technical solutions. Your work will directly protect and enable operations across the entire ENGIE group. What You'll Do - Design firewall, proxy, and load balancing solutions aligned with business requirements and current design standards. - Produce Low Level Design documents and contribute to High Level Design in close cooperation with architects. - Deploy network and security solutions into production environments in a controlled, structured manner. - Perform complete handover to operational teams, including documentation, test plans, and migration plans. - Provide Level 3 expertise support for complex or critical incidents on proxy, load balancing, and firewall infrastructure. - Conduct end-to-end performance troubleshooting on network performance degradations. - Continuously analyze and optimize existing network infrastructure, tools, and documentation. What You Bring - Advanced expertise on Zscaler solutions, Palo Alto and Fortinet firewalls, and F5 load balancers. - Strong knowledge of LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, virtualized architectures, VLANs, and VRF concepts. - Experience with AWS and Azure cloud environments, including network and cybersecurity cloud concepts. - Proven ability to write HLD/LLD documents, migration plans, and technical documentation using Microsoft Visio. - Excellent analytical and TCP troubleshooting skills with a structured approach to problem-solving. - Good communication in English (speaking and writing) and French (speaking); Dutch is a plus. - Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work autonomously, take initiative, and guide stakeholders through projects. Location Bucharest, Romania. This is a hybrid role combining remote work and on-site presence. Occasional travel may be required. On-duty services are expected approximately one week every two months.
