Salary Range: $200.00 To $225.00 Hourly Part Time Laboratory Director Chippewa Government Solutions LLC, a Sault Tribe Inc. (“STI Federal”) company, is seeking an experienced and dedicated Part ‑ Time Laboratory Director to support the Indian Health Service (IHS) Crownpoint Healthcare Facility and two satellite locations. This role provides high ‑ level oversight of laboratory operations to ensure quality, compliance, and reliable testing aligned with CLIA standards. What You’ll Do… Key Responsibilities & Expected Outcomes Provide overall leadership and administration of laboratory operations, ensuring a quality ‑ system approach to testing and compliance with CLIA regulations. Ensure staff deliver accurate, reliable testing services following established procedures and safety standards. Delegate and document responsibilities in accordance with laboratory policies, including collaboration with technical supervisors and consultants. Oversee quality control and quality assessment activities; identify, correct, and monitor issues for effectiveness and timeliness. Evaluate needs for enhancing or expanding laboratory capabilities and testing sensitivity. Resolve laboratory errors, complaints, compliance issues, and performance concerns. Ensure appropriate staffing, training, and equipment for high ‑ quality laboratory services. Physically visit the Crownpoint site 1–2 times per month and be accessible by phone or email. Visit the Pueblo Pintado and Thoreau satellite locations 1–2 times per quarter. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities for Success Demonstrates a dedication to upholding and enhancing STI Federal’s core values. Strong leadership abilities with expertise in laboratory operations and regulatory compliance. Ability to manage quality systems, documentation, and corrective actions. Clear communication skills with the ability to collaborate across clinical and administrative teams. Commitment to maintaining high standards of safety, reliability, and patient care. Minimum Qualifications  Education:  Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy with an unrestricted license in any U.S. state, territory, D.C., or Puerto Rico. Degree must be from an accredited body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. Experience: Board certification or eligibility in anatomic or clinical pathology (American Board of Pathology or American Osteopathic Board of Pathology). Ability to complete clinical privileges application and provide proof of board certification and two letters of recommendation. CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required. Must pass a drug screen and federal background check. Clearance:  Must meet federal background requirements and any clearance obligations required by facility policy. Preferred Qualifications  Education:  Additional specialized training in laboratory leadership or quality systems. Experience:  Experience managing CLIA ‑ regulated laboratories, including quality control and quality assessment programs. Familiarity with healthcare facilities serving tribal or rural communities. Clearance:  Prior clearance or experience working in federal healthcare environments preferred. Work Environment  Environment:  Work will be performed remotely with requirements to be on-siteinCrownpoint, NM monthly and to Pueblo Pintado/Thoreau quarterly.These sites willcontainlaboratory and office settings. Work may involve exposure to hazardous materials, including chemicals and blood ‑ borne pathogens. Ability to liftupto 50 pounds and perform duties requiring bending, standing, or prolonged desk work. Must provide a fitness ‑ for ‑ duty certificate at hire and meet facility immunization requirements. STI Federal is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
