Lead Business Intelligence Engineer (AI)

Job description

Location: Remote in the United States; occasional travel and limited job site visits may be required

Salary: $135,000–$150,000 USD annually

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and semantic models for operational, financial, and executive needs.
• Partner with business leaders to define requirements and KPIs and translate objectives into scalable reporting solutions.
• Validate data accuracy and collaborate with Analytics Engineering to maintain consistent reporting.
• Establish reporting standards, governance practices, security controls, and documentation supporting a single source of truth.
• Drive BI adoption through stakeholder engagement, training, and continuous improvement.
• Provide technical leadership and coaching while using AI and automation tools to accelerate reporting and build AI-ready data models.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
• 5+ years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, data visualization, or corporate reporting, including at least one year in a lead role.
• Advanced proficiency with Power BI, DAX, and SQL, including dashboard development and data validation.
• Experience partnering with business stakeholders to translate requirements into reporting and analytics solutions.
• Compliance with applicable safety regulations, PPE requirements, and Environmental Health and Safety policies is required when supporting field operations.

Nice to have

• Experience in construction, industrial, project-based, or field service organizations.
• Knowledge of project finance, job costing, budgeting, or operational performance reporting.
• Microsoft DP-600, DP-700, or another relevant business intelligence certification.
• Experience with Power Apps, Power Automate, Python, or R.
