In-office expectation: Occasional travel to Aylesbury, Cambridge and London required

Salary: Starting salary from £56,000 per annum, depending on experience + generous annual bonus (circa 20%)

Role Overview:

We're looking for an accomplished Lead Consultant to join our growing Professional Services team, helping some of the UK's leading organisations use GIS and Esri technology to solve complex challenges and achieve meaningful business outcomes.

As a Lead Consultant, you'll combine technical expertise, consulting judgement and customer leadership. You'll work closely with customers and Sales colleagues to understand business objectives, identify opportunities and shape propositions that connect Esri UK's capabilities to customer needs.

Alongside your customer-facing responsibilities, you'll provide senior technical leadership across projects, helping teams make sound decisions and delivering high-quality solutions. You'll also play an important role in coaching and mentoring other consultants.

This is an opportunity for an experienced consultant who is ready to take greater ownership of customer relationships, influence business opportunities and develop their leadership capability.

As our Lead Consultant, you will:

  • Build trusted relationships with customers and act as a trusted advisor on the use of GIS and Esri technology
  • Understand customer strategies, challenges and priorities and identify where GIS and Esri technology can deliver meaningful value
  • Work closely with Sales colleagues to identify opportunities and shape compelling propositions
  • Provide senior technical leadership across customer projects and work packages
  • Guide solution components through design, build, test and deployment
  • Support estimation, planning and technical decision-making across projects
  • Bring practical delivery experience and technical credibility to customer and commercial conversations
  • Work collaboratively with Project Managers, Solution Architects, consultants and wider business teams
  • Provide technical and consulting input into proposals and bids
  • Coach and mentor Senior Consultants and less experienced colleagues
  • Share knowledge and contribute to the development of our Professional Services capability
  • Maintain awareness of developments across GIS, technology and relevant customer sectors

This would be a great career move if you:

  • Have strong experience in GIS, technology consulting, professional services or a related discipline
  • Have significant practical experience working with Esri technology and the ArcGIS platform
  • Have a proven track record of delivering successful customer projects and outcomes
  • Are confident engaging with customers to understand their objectives and influence their thinking
  • Can translate complex business or technical challenges into practical propositions and solutions
  • Have strong technical judgement and experience providing leadership within project delivery
  • Can communicate effectively with senior stakeholders across technical and non-technical audiences
  • Enjoy coaching and mentoring other consultants and helping colleagues develop
  • Have strong commercial awareness and understand how consulting can create value for both customers and the business
