A DAY IN THE LIFE
The Corporate HSE Critical Risk & Safety Manager is a key resource within the Corporate HSE organization responsible for supporting and advancing execution of the Company’s critical risk management, Life Critical Standards, technical safety, field assurance and operational safety strategies.
This position provides organization-wide technical expertise, standards, tools and assurance that support consistent HSE execution across the organization. The position works closely with Corporate HSE leadership, Construction HSE Directors, project leadership and other stakeholders to identify critical risks, establish effective controls, verify control effectiveness and drive continuous improvement in HSE performance.
The position serves as a corporate resource to the Construction HSE organization, providing critical-risk expertise, technical guidance, field assurance, safety leadership and project support. Construction HSE leadership retains responsibility for operational execution and project-level HSE leadership.
The position requires the ability to translate corporate HSE expectations and critical risk strategies into practical field application and influence leaders at all levels without direct reporting authority.
STEP INTO THE ROLE
- Supports the Company’s Critical Risk strategy by identifying, evaluating and prioritizing exposures with the potential to result in life-threatening, life-altering or life-ending events.
- Partners with Construction HSE Directors and project HSE teams to improve field execution, safety leadership, hazard recognition and control implementation.
- Utilizes HSE data, incident information, high energy trends, audit findings and leading indicators to identify emerging risks, systemic control gaps and opportunities for improvement.
- Evaluates HSE programs and processes to determine whether they effectively address identified risks and achieve intended outcomes.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- Bachelor's Degree in Safety, Engineering, Construction Management, Occupational Health/Safety, or related professional field.
- 8 or more years of related HSE experience with demonstrated experience in construction safety, critical risk management, safety leadership, field assurance, or technical safety.
WHAT SETS YOU APART
