About The Company
DT (NASDAQ: APPS) is a leading mobile growth platform dedicated to unifying the full mobile experience. Our innovative ecosystem connects advertisers, app developers, device partners, OEMs, carriers, and consumers to create a seamless and personalized mobile environment. By leveraging proprietary device-level data and advanced marketplace strategies, DT aims to optimize mobile engagement, monetization, and user experience. Headquartered in Austin, Texas, with a global footprint spanning North America, EMEA, APAC, and LATAM, DT is committed to delivering cutting-edge solutions that drive growth and value for our partners worldwide.
About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Lead Data Scientist to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will serve as a technical authority and strategic partner across engineering, product, and executive leadership. Your primary responsibility will be to define technical roadmaps, architect high-impact machine learning and experimentation frameworks, and set the standard for data science excellence across DT’s global marketplace. You will work on a variety of critical areas including bidding efficacy, audience curation, measurement, attribution, and enterprise experimentation. This role offers a unique opportunity to influence product strategy, optimize marketplace performance, and contribute to products and experiences used by millions around the world.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess over 8 years of progressive experience in data science, quantitative analysis, or machine learning, with a proven track record of technical leadership in AdTech, two-sided marketplaces, or large-scale consumer data platforms. You should have deep expertise in advanced statistical modeling, causal inference, experimental design, and machine learning architectures such as regression, classification, time-series analysis, clustering, and deep learning. Proficiency in Python (or R), SQL, and experience handling petabyte-scale data within cloud infrastructures like Databricks, Spark, Snowflake, AWS, or GCP is essential. Additionally, systemic thinking, cross-functional leadership, and excellent communication skills are critical to succeed in this role. A master’s or Ph.D. in Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Operations Research, or Physics is preferred but not mandatory.
Responsibilities
As the Lead Data Scientist, your responsibilities will include translating complex, high-ambiguity business challenges into strategic data science roadmaps that influence product and commercial strategies. You will lead the design and implementation of DT’s centralized experimentation framework, establishing best practices for causal inference, hypothesis testing, and A/B testing methodologies. Developing and overseeing production-grade statistical and machine learning models for bid optimization, user acquisition, dynamic audience segmentation, lifetime value prediction, and multi-touch attribution will be a core aspect of your role. You will also direct strategies for real-time data intelligence, including time-series forecasting and event processing, to enhance automated decision-making and yield optimization. Collaborating closely with ML Infrastructure and Data Engineering teams, you will ensure the deployment, monitoring, and integration of models within DT’s Next Best Action framework. Additionally, you will mentor senior and mid-level data scientists, elevate technical standards, and foster a data-driven culture across the organization. Your ability to translate technical insights into strategic narratives will influence executive decision-making and product development.
Benefits
DT offers a competitive compensation package complemented by equity awards and a comprehensive benefits program designed to support your overall well-being. Our benefits include health insurance, retirement plans, unlimited paid time off, performance-based bonuses, and stock options. We promote a flexible hybrid work environment that encourages work-life balance and collaboration. At DT, we are committed to investing in our employees’ growth and development, providing opportunities for continuous learning and career advancement. Additionally, you will be part of a forward-thinking organization that values innovation, diversity, and inclusion, fostering an environment where your ideas and contributions can make a meaningful impact.
