Work Model - 3 days WFO/2 days WFH(Hybrid) Shift - 2 PM - 11 PM Benefits - Free pick & drop, free meals & more We are seeking a highly experienced Senior SQL Engineer to join our Enterprise Data Warehouse team. This role will focus on advanced data analysis, prototype dataset development, data mart design, and investigative SQL work across enterprise source systems. The ideal candidate is not simply a SQL developer. This person must have deep curiosity about data, strong analytical instincts, and the ability to determine whether query output “looks right” based on business context, source system behavior, data patterns, and reconciliation logic. This role requires someone who can work effectively even when documentation is incomplete or unavailable. This position is expected to work closely with Data Engineering, Data Analysis, Business Systems Analysis, Product, and Engineering leadership. Practical prototyping ability: Can quickly build usable datasets that help shape future warehouse or reporting solutions. Responsibilities Analyze complex enterprise data across multiple source systems to support reporting, analytics, and data warehouse development. Build prototype datasets, proof-of-concept queries, and exploratory data models to support new business requirements. Design and develop SQL-based data marts, analytical datasets, and reusable query logic. Investigate undocumented databases to identify table relationships, keys, joins, business rules, and data lineage. Validate data outputs by applying business judgment, reconciliation techniques, and analytical reasoning. Identify data quality issues, inconsistencies, gaps, duplicates, and unexpected trends. Translate ambiguous business questions into structured SQL analysis and actionable findings. Partner with Product Owners, Business Systems Analysts, Data Analysts, and Data Engineering teams to clarify requirements and validate assumptions. Support enterprise data warehouse design by helping define source-to-target mappings, transformation rules, and analytical models. Document findings, data relationships, assumptions, and reusable query patterns for future team use. Mentor other team members on advanced SQL analysis, data investigation, and validation techniques. Qualifications 10+ years of hands-on SQL development and data analysis experience. Strong experience working with enterprise databases, data warehouses, data marts, and analytical datasets. Expert-level SQL skills, including complex joins, CTEs, window functions, aggregation logic, performance tuning, and query optimization. Proven ability to investigate unfamiliar databases and infer relationships without complete documentation. Strong data intuition: ability to recognize when results are incomplete, duplicated, inflated, missing, or logically incorrect. Experience building prototype datasets or analytical models from raw operational source data. Strong understanding of data warehouse concepts, dimensional modeling, fact and dimension structures, and source-to-target mapping. Ability to work with ambiguous requirements and independently drive analysis toward clear conclusions. Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain data findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications Experience in enterprise data warehouse environments. Experience with healthcare, legal, financial, or other complex operational data domains. Familiarity with ETL/ELT processes and modern data platforms. Experience supporting BI/reporting teams with curated datasets and data marts. Experience documenting data lineage, transformation rules, and business logic Exposure to tools such as SQL Server, Azure SQL, Snowflake, Databricks, Synapse, Oracle, or similar platforms.
