🔵 About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Technical Lead (.NET) to lead an existing software engineering team working on large-scale, business-critical digital systems.
This is a hands-on technical leadership role, not a pure management position.
The ideal candidate should combine deep expertise in C#, .NET, .NET Core, ASP.NET Core, backend architecture, APIs, and distributed systems with proven experience leading and mentoring software engineers.
You will be responsible for providing technical direction, making architecture and design decisions, reviewing code, resolving complex technical challenges, improving engineering standards, and helping the development team deliver scalable, reliable, and maintainable software.
The right candidate should be comfortable moving between architecture, hands-on development, code reviews, mentoring, troubleshooting, and technical delivery ownership.
🔵 Key Responsibilities
- Lead the technical direction and day-to-day engineering execution of the .NET development team
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using C#, .NET / .NET Core, and ASP.NET Core
- Design and review secure, reliable, and maintainable RESTful APIs
- Lead technical design, system architecture, and solution design discussions
- Design and support microservices and distributed backend architectures
- Translate complex business requirements into clear and practical technical solutions
- Make technical decisions and ensure consistency across the development team
- Conduct code reviews and maintain high standards for code quality, architecture, and maintainability
- Mentor developers and support their technical growth
- Identify technical gaps within the team and provide practical guidance and support
- Help developers resolve complex technical blockers and implementation challenges
- Promote Clean Architecture, SOLID principles, design patterns, and engineering best practices
- Collaborate closely with product, QA, DevOps, and other engineering teams
- Take technical ownership of delivery, dependencies, risks, and engineering decisions
- Troubleshoot complex production issues and lead root-cause analysis
- Improve application performance, scalability, reliability, and security
- Contribute to testing strategies, logging, monitoring, and observability
- Support CI/CD, deployment, and release processes
- Review existing systems and identify opportunities for technical and architectural improvement
- Balance technical quality, maintainability, and delivery priorities
- Help establish a strong engineering culture built around ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement
🔵 Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of professional software development experience
- Strong hands-on experience with C#
- Strong professional experience with .NET / .NET Core
- Strong experience with ASP.NET Core
- Proven experience working as a Technical Lead, Team Lead, Lead Software Engineer, or equivalent technical leadership role
- Proven experience directly leading and mentoring software developers
- Strong experience designing and maintaining REST APIs
- Strong experience with microservices and distributed systems
- Strong understanding of software architecture and system design
- Strong knowledge of Clean Architecture, SOLID principles, and design patterns
- Strong experience working with relational databases and SQL
- Experience designing and integrating internal and external services and APIs
- Strong experience with Git, pull requests, and code review workflows
- Good understanding of CI/CD and modern software delivery practices
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis skills
- Experience working with production and business-critical applications
- Proven ability to make and own technical decisions
- Proven ability to guide developers through complex technical challenges
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills
- Excellent English communication skills
🔵 Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working on large-scale digital platforms or high-traffic applications
- Experience with high-availability or distributed systems
- Experience designing scalable microservices architectures
- Experience with complex enterprise system integrations
- Experience with Docker and containerized applications
- Familiarity with Kubernetes
- Experience with cloud environments such as Azure or AWS
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar CI/CD tools
- Experience with application monitoring, logging, and observability tools
- Experience with performance optimization and application scalability
- Experience supporting production-critical systems
- Experience working with cross-functional engineering teams in fast-paced environments
- Experience leading modernization, refactoring, or architectural improvement initiatives
