What you’ll do

As a Lead Electrical Engineer – Industrial (Oil & Gas), based in Brisbane, you'll play a key role in delivering critical gas infrastructure projects through a long-term partnership with a major client.

You'll provide technical leadership, guide project delivery and work alongside multidisciplinary teams to solve complex challenges across the resources sector. You will:

• Lead the delivery of electrical engineering design packages across a portfolio of projects, from concept through to detailed design and implementation.
• Provide technical leadership for LV and HV power systems, ensuring designs are practical, compliant and fit for purpose.
• Review, coordinate and oversee engineering deliverables, calculations, specifications, studies and technical documentation.
• Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing clear technical guidance and practical solutions to complex engineering challenges.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated engineering solutions for operating assets and brownfield environments.
• Lead, mentor and develop electrical engineers, fostering technical excellence and knowledge sharing across the team.
• Manage project performance, resources, budgets and delivery outcomes while maintaining a strong focus on engineering quality.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support best-practice engineering standards across projects and teams.

What you’ll bring

• Degree qualifications in Electrical Engineering and experience delivering electrical engineering projects within oil & gas, resources, mining or heavy industrial infrastructure environments.
• Current RPEQ registration, or eligibility to obtain it.
• Strong technical expertise in LV and HV electrical design, power distribution systems and industrial infrastructure.
• Experience leading electrical design teams and providing technical guidance across complex projects.
• Strong understanding of engineering design processes, technical reviews, client standards and project governance requirements.
• Proven ability to build trusted client relationships and communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
• The ability to see the big picture, challenge assumptions and deliver practical solutions to complex problems.
