About the role

We are looking for a Lead Engineer who combines deep technical expertise with strong consulting and client engagement capabilities. This is a hands-on engineering leadership role for someone who can architect and build modern software solutions, guide technical direction, leverage AI as a force multiplier, and act as a trusted advisor to clients.

The ideal candidate has expert-level backend knowledge in at least one major technology stack (Java, .NET, or Python), solid frontend experience, extensive cloud and architecture expertise, and the ability to engage directly with stakeholders to understand business challenges and translate them into scalable technical solutions.

This role requires a professional who embraces AI-native development, actively uses AI tools in daily work, and has practical experience building AI-powered applications, agents, and business automation solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance software solutions.

  • Lead technical architecture discussions and make strategic technology decisions.

  • Develop robust backend systems, APIs, integrations, and distributed services.

  • Contribute hands-on to development while setting engineering standards and best practices.

  • Drive software quality through code reviews, automated testing, observability, and continuous improvement.

  • Ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with business objectives.

  • Support system modernization initiatives and cloud adoption.

  • Use AI tools daily to improve productivity, software quality, and delivery speed.

  • Design and build AI-enhanced applications and intelligent workflows.

  • Work with LLM platforms and frameworks such as Azure OpenAI, OpenAI, Anthropic, LangChain, LangGraph, AutoGen, CrewAI, Semantic Kernel, or similar.

  • Gather and clarify business and technical requirements directly from clients.

  • Translate business challenges into solution designs and implementation plans.

  • Build trusted relationships with stakeholders at multiple levels.

  • Act as the technical point of contact for clients throughout project delivery.

  • Support pre-sales activities by contributing to solution proposals, estimations, technical presentations, and client demonstrations.

  • Drive continuous improvement across processes, tools, architecture, and delivery methods.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of professional software engineering experience.

  • Deep expertise with at least one back-end technology: Java, .Net or Python

  • Experience with at least one front-end technology

  • Strong understanding of software architecture and design principles.

  • Experience building REST APIs and event-driven systems.

  • Experience with microservices and distributed architectures.

  • Strong knowledge of design patterns, SOLID principles, and clean code practices.

  • Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.

  • Strong testing mindset and automation experience.

  • Experience with at least one major cloud platform (either Azure, AWS or GCP)

  • Knowledge of: Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Terraform, Security best practices

AI Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of daily usage of AI tools in software development.

  • Experience using tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude, ChatGPT, Windsurf, or equivalent.

  • Experience building AI-powered solutions and/or multi-agent systems.

  • Understanding of: Prompt engineering, RAG architectures, Vector databases, Agent orchestration, Tool calling, LLM evaluation and observability

The ideal candidate has:

  • Previous consulting experience.

  • Experience as a Solution Architect or Technical Lead.

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.

  • Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

  • Strong stakeholder management capabilities.

  • Comfortable engaging with senior decision-makers.

  • Ability to identify business opportunities and propose value-driven solutions.

  • Experience supporting sales, proposals, or business development efforts.

  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.

Language requirements

  • English (Excellent written and spoken).
