Lead Finance Specialist - Accounting Operations

Job Description Summary We are looking for a Finance specialist (statutory) to join our North Europe controllership team. Key Responsibilities Support with the internal and external audit works for your Region to ensure on-time delivery of the statutory requirements Coordinate deliverables with the relevant owners & responsible parties to ensure documentation is provided to high quality and on time Liaise with external auditors to provide documentation, resolve queries and ensure timely closure of audit items. Ensure compliance with statutory and tax KPIs, supporting tracking and reporting on relevant metrics. Develop a basic understanding of key business and financial drivers, and report potential risks or control issues to the Region Controller as appropriate. Support STAT to GAAP adjustments in Statutory HFM and post related entries in SAP dual ledger (L1). Work on legal entity-level S2G (Stat to GAAP) adjustments, including analysis and efforts to minimize reconciling items. Oversee region transactional taxes (VAT) filings and assure local regulators’ compliance Support in statutory related initiatives in SAP or such as SAF-T Required Qualifications At least 5-6 years of experience in a similar capacity, preferably in a Book Keeping, Statutory Reporting Qualified accountant, CA / CFA / CS / CMA / Graduate / B Com ​Proven years of experience in auditing, accounting or financial reporting Desired Characteristics: Basic knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP/Finnish or other Nordic accounting standards and legal requirements). Fluency in English is required. Prior stakeholder management experience, particularly with Swedish and Norwegian stakeholders, will be considered an advantage ​SAP experience (FI, PS) Proficient use of MS Office, ability to learn quickly new IT tools Good verbal and written communication skills Analytical skills - able to link financial results to operational performance drivers Adaptable/Flexible - being open to change in response to new information, different or unexpected circumstances, and/or to work in ambiguous situations Integrity - accepting and adhering to high moral, ethical, and personal values in decisions, communications, actions and when dealing with others Someone who is proactive and determined, committed to delivering high-quality work Additional Information Relocation Assistance Provided: No
