Location: UK – Fully Remote
Salary: Up to £120,000 + Benefits Package
Travel: 2–3 Days Per Month Across Europe
Sector: Hyperscale Data Centre Construction
The Opportunity
We are recruiting for an experienced Lead Planner to join a growing specialist contractor delivering major hyperscale data centre projects across Europe.
This is a senior leadership opportunity for an ambitious planning professional to build, develop and lead a European planning team, taking ownership of project planning, programme management and scheduling across multiple high-value developments.
The position offers genuine autonomy, the opportunity to shape a planning function from the ground up, and the chance to play a pivotal role in delivering some of Europe's most complex mission-critical construction projects.
The role is fully remote from anywhere in the UK, with occasional European travel of approximately 2–3 days per month.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, recruit, mentor and lead a high-performing team of planners supporting multiple European data centre projects.
- Establish and implement planning procedures, reporting standards and best practices across the business.
- Oversee the development and management of detailed project programmes, ensuring alignment with contractual milestones and delivery objectives.
- Provide strategic planning oversight across multiple hyperscale data centre developments.
- Work closely with Project Directors, Construction Managers and senior leadership to identify programme risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Lead programme reviews, critical path analysis, progress reporting and recovery planning.
- Ensure effective integration of CSA, MEP, commissioning and handover activities into project schedules.
- Support tendering, preconstruction and project mobilisation activities.
- Develop planning capabilities and resources in line with the company's European growth strategy.
What we're looking for
- Significant experience in construction planning, ideally within hyperscale data centres or other mission-critical projects.
- Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 and programme management methodologies.
- Proven experience leading, mentoring or managing planning teams.
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, critical path analysis and project controls.
- Experience overseeing multiple complex construction projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills and the confidence to engage with senior project stakeholders.
- A proactive, commercially aware individual who can establish systems, drive improvements and develop a high-performing team.
What's on Offer?
- Up to £120,000 basic salary + comprehensive benefits package.
- Fully remote working from anywhere in the UK.
- Minimal travel – approximately 2–3 days per month across Europe.
- Opportunity to build and lead your own European planning team.
- Strategic influence over major hyperscale data centre developments.
- Long-term career progression within an expanding specialist contractor.
- A senior position offering autonomy, responsibility and genuine influence over business growth.
