Lead QA Software Engineer

A growing healthcare business is looking for a technical leader to guide a quality assurance team focused on automation. The role involves defining testing strategies across all levels while integrating advanced artificial intelligence tools into the development lifecycle. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with engineering and product management to ensure high-quality delivery and scalable software solutions.

What you'll be doing

• Lead and develop a technical team focused on automation, defining strategies for unit, integration, and performance testing.

• Implement shift-left and automation-first approaches within the development process to ensure consistent quality.

• Design scalable testing frameworks, harnesses, and CI/CD pipelines to manage increasing product complexity.

• Drive the adoption of AI-native automation tools and agent-based workflows for test generation and triage.

• Mentor engineers and contribute technical expertise to the wider internal quality assurance community.

What we're looking for

• Proven leadership experience in test automation with the ability to manage and develop senior technical personnel.

• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field of study.

• Strong programming skills in languages such as C#, Java, Python, or TypeScript, alongside experience in CI/CD.

• Practical experience applying AI agents and context engineering within a QA environment to optimize workflows.

• Fluency in both German and English with excellent communication skills.
