We're looking for a Lead Data Engineer to own the technical direction of data engineering on the EDAM enterprise data & analytics mesh platform.

What you'll do

Lead design and delivery of scalable data engineering solutions

Own architecture, patterns, and standards across EDAM

Build ingestion pipelines from Sapiens, IRIS, and other enterprise sources

Develop ETL/ELT with Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric

Implement medallion architecture, reusable frameworks, curated datasets

Own data quality, validation, reconciliation, monitoring

Drive CI/CD and DevOps with Azure DevOps

Lead design sessions, code reviews, and production support

Mentor Data Engineers and establish best practices

Leverage AI-assisted / agentic AI tooling

Must-have

6+ years in Data Engineering

Enterprise-scale pipelines & platforms

Azure Databricks + Spark, ADF, Microsoft Fabric, ADLS

Strong SQL + ETL/ELT

Medallion architecture + reusable frameworks

Data quality, governance, lineage, security

CI/CD (Azure DevOps)

Technical leadership: own direction, define standards, mentor engineers

Nice-to-have

Fabric Data Factory / Lakehouse

Sapiens or similar core enterprise systems

Insurance / FS / regulated + regulatory reporting

Data Mesh / enterprise data platform

AI-assisted / agentic AI

Power BI / semantic modelling
