The Lead Site Reliability Engineer maintains, integrates and implements software applications within the organization. The Lead Site Reliability Engineer works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial.The Lead Site Reliability Engineer coordinates software application testing, quality assurance, configuration, installation and support to ensure smooth, stable and timely implementation of new software and updates to installed applications. Ensures proper controls are established and maintained over test and production systems and software source code. Advises executives to develop functional strategies (often segment specific) on matters of significance. Exercises independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding job duties and related tasks, and works under minimal supervision, Uses independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors and determining the best course of action.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
- 8 or more years in information technology field, SRE, DevOps, Platform Engineering.
- 2 or more years of project/technical lead experience
- Demonstrated ability to lead high-severity incident and service restoration bridge calls, including coordination and communication with senior leadership.
- Must possess strong verbal communication skills, remain composed under pressure, provide clear status updates, drive technical teams toward resolution, and confidently manage stakeholder expectations during critical outages.
- Ability to perform root cause analysis over a broad range of software technologies in a large, multi-system production environment supporting critical pharmacy operations
- Understanding and experience with generative and agentic AI tools for authoring and analysis
- Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
- Availability for occasional and/or weekend escalations on an as-needed basis, to support pharmacy releases and escalations
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree
- Domain knowledge and experience working in the health care sector, specifically pharmacy
- Experience with .NET, Java, Typescript, SQL Server, Oracle Database, Postgres, MongoDB, Kubernetes, Temporal, and similar technologies, particularly in a regulated enterprise environment
- Experience working with Agile SDLC and/or Scrum
- Extensive experience with large-scale observability tools such as Dynatrace and Splunk
Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting.
