Lead Software Engineer

A growing healthcare technology business is looking for an experienced engineering leader to join the team. This role focuses on guiding international development squads through agile processes while integrating modern cloud and AI technologies into the product landscape. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in scaling delivery structures and fostering a culture of technical excellence.

What you'll be doing

• Lead international teams of developers, QA, DevOps, and Scrum Masters through agile development cycles.

• Scale departmental processes by structuring teams into independent Scrum units and integrating global colleagues.

• Oversee the technical implementation of modern cloud environments including CI/CD, monitoring, and security.

• Define recruitment standards and drive the professional development of team members in frontend, cloud, and AI competencies.

• Coordinate with cross-functional departments to ensure seamless integration of new solutions into the existing system landscape.

What we're looking for

• Proven experience leading Scrum development teams within DevOps and cloud-centric environments.

• Strong technical background in web and desktop development using frameworks like HTML5, TypeScript, Java, or Go.

• Practical expertise in DevOps practices, including CI/CD, containerization, and Infrastructure as Code.

• Experience working with major cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP and an interest in AI/ML applications.

• Fluency in German and English with a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
