Job Title: Lead Software Engineer

Location: Hybrid - Dallas, TX

Position Type: 6 months with the option to direct hire

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Lead Software Engineer with 10+ years of software development experience to lead the design, development, modernization, and deployment of enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in .NET, ReactJS, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Python scripting and deploy applications on AWS Cloud using CI/CD automation. This is a hands-on technical leadership role requiring the ability to architect scalable solutions, mentor development teams, perform code reviews, and drive cloud-native application modernization initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

· Architect and design scalable, secure, and high-performance enterprise applications.

· Lead the end-to-end software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering through deployment and production support.

· Develop and maintain applications using Microsoft .NET (C#, ASP.NET Core) and ReactJS.

· Build automation scripts and utilities using Python to improve development, deployment, and operational efficiency.

· Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for automated build, testing, and deployment.

· Deploy, monitor, and maintain applications on Amazon Web Services (AWS).

· Lead migration of legacy applications to modern technology stacks including .NET, ReactJS, Python, and AWS Cloud.

· Perform code reviews to ensure high-quality, maintainable, and secure code following industry best practices.

· Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, architects, QA teams, and DevOps engineers to deliver high-quality solutions.

· Mentor and guide development teams on software architecture, coding standards, design patterns, and best practices.

· Identify technical risks and recommend innovative solutions to improve application performance, scalability, and reliability.

· Troubleshoot production issues and provide technical leadership during critical incidents.

· Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and governance standards throughout the software development lifecycle.

Required Qualifications:

· Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

· 10+ years of professional software development experience.

· Strong expertise in C#, .NET Framework, .NET Core/.NET 8, ASP.NET Core, Web APIs, and Microservices.

· Extensive experience with ReactJS, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS.

· Strong programming experience in Python/FastAPI for automation, scripting, and backend development.

· Hands-on experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs.

· Strong knowledge of AWS Cloud services such as EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, IAM, API Gateway, and CloudFormation or Terraform.

· Experience implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or AWS CodePipeline.

· Strong experience with Git-based source control and branching strategies.

· Solid understanding of software architecture, object-oriented design, design patterns, and SOLID principles.

· Experience with relational databases such as SQL Server or PostgreSQL.

· Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

· Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or AWS CloudFormation).

· Knowledge of event-driven architecture and messaging technologies.

· AWS Certifications (Solutions Architect, Developer) are a plus.

· Experience leading distributed or cross-functional engineering teams.

· Strong communication, leadership, mentoring, and stakeholder management skills.
