In this role, you will drive architectural design, governance, and rollout delivery for complex ecommerce order‑management transformations across multiple regions. You will assess current OMS landscapes, guide replatforming initiatives, and oversee the design of scalable integrations across commerce, marketplace, logistics, and customer‑service domains. The position requires deep hands‑on expertise in OMS technology, cloud architecture, and enterprise integration standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead OMS architecture design and oversee solution development for multi‑region commerce platforms
- Conduct system assessments and define target architecture and transformation roadmaps
- Design scalable order‑management flows covering order lifecycle, fulfillment, returns, and refund processes
- Integrate OMS solutions with commerce platforms, payment gateways, and third‑party logistics systems
- Define technical standards, data flows, and integration patterns across multiple backend and service layers
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and product teams to align delivery timelines and priorities
- Establish governance frameworks ensuring compliance, scalability, and business continuity
- Guide regional migration and rollout strategies, enabling smooth transitions and minimal disruption
- Provide architectural mentorship to development leads and ensure adherence to design principles
- Review solution design documentation, technical debt, and performance optimization outcomes
Requirements
- 10+ years’ experience in enterprise architecture and software delivery, with direct OMS exposure
- Strong knowledge of ecommerce ecosystems, order orchestration, and fulfillment design
- Experience integrating OMS with commerce platforms, warehouse, logistics, and marketplace systems
- Solid understanding of APIs, microservices, event‑driven architecture, and cloud platforms
- Experience leading multi‑region rollout projects with phased go‑live and migration planning
- Knowledge of replatforming architecture, performance scaling, and resilience patterns
- Proven experience establishing architecture governance and stakeholder alignment
- Excellent system‑design documentation, analytical, and problem‑solving skills
- Strong communication ability with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline
Nice to have
- Experience with Fluent OMS, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, or equivalent order‑management solutions
- Hands‑on knowledge of tax, invoice, and customer communication flows in enterprise commerce
- Familiarity with cloud‑native architecture, Kubernetes, and API‑gateway designs
- Understanding of marketplace orchestration and inventory management patterns
- Prior experience leading distributed teams through large vendor‑transition programs
