We are looking for a Lead Test Automation Engineer to join our team developing cloud-based medical software. In this role, you will design and implement automated test solutions using Playwright, TypeScript, and BDD (Given-When-Then), covering both UI and API testing, while also guiding and mentoring the automation team. You will contribute to manual test case design and execution when required, ensuring our applications meet the highest standards of reliability, performance, and compliance in the healthcare domain.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright and TypeScript
- Implement BDD-style test cases (Given-When-Then) to ensure clarity and collaboration across teams
- Automate end-to-end UI workflows and API endpoints
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous validation
- Develop and execute manual test cases when required
- Document test results and defects, and provide clear reporting to stakeholders
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, and QA leads to embed quality throughout the SDLC
- Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives, advocating for testability and quality
- Lead and mentor the test automation team, providing guidance on best practices
- Drive continuous improvement of test automation strategy and processes
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in JavaScript-based test automation
- 1+ years of experience in a leading or mentoring capacity
- Expertise in Playwright, TypeScript, and BDD frameworks
- Understanding of UI testing and API testing
- Skills in manual test case design and execution
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- B2+ English level
