Overview

Role specifics:

• Claims Background: Minimum of 5-10+ years adjusting an indemnity desk with litigation
• Jurisdictional Experience: MD, VA, DC
• Location: This role is eligible for remote work

How you'll make an impact

• Supervise a small Workers Compensation team.
• Demonstrate significant claims handling skills and carry an individual case load delivering high quality and efficient service.
• Participate in adjuster hiring and training to nurture a culture of performance and continuous improvement.
• Manage workloads and motivate performance.
• Use Gallagher's technology to enhance your team's efficiency and quality.
• Communicate with clients, carriers and brokers in a professional, positive and proactive manner.
• Effectively manage multiple competing priorities, identify coaching opportunities and position team members for successful development.

About you

As a key member of our experienced Claims Adjuster team, you will:

• Work in partnership with our workers compensation clients
• Take responsibility to make decisions
• Identify and deliver the right resources, at the right time and in the right place.
• Think critically, solve problems, plan, and prioritize tasks to optimally serve clients and claimants
• Serve clients, effectively communicate and embrace new challenges to drive success

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma
• Minimum of 10 years hands-on workers compensation claims adjusting experience required including lost-time/indemnity and litigation
• Appropriately licensed and/or certified in all states in which claims are being handled
• Knowledge of all team member related functions
