For this role, you must be an outstanding Lead Software Engineer, who has experience consulting with enterprise level External Clients at C-Level or Senior Management level. Commercial experience with AI or GenAI is a bonus, however personal work & a passionate provable interested in AI & GenAI will be acceptable. You must be living in Ireland. This is a Technical Lead–level position for a highly skilled engineer — ideal for someone already operating as a Technical Lead, Lead Engineer, Staff Engineer, or very senior software engineer who enjoys shaping solutions, guiding clients, and still staying close to the code. The Role Partner with client stakeholders to uncover challenges and define technical solutions. Run discovery sessions, facilitate workshops, and translate business needs into technical direction. Rapidly prototype AI-powered solutions and design systems that scale into production. Make key architectural decisions and steer delivery from initial concept to live deployment. Mentor engineers, set high standards through code reviews, and share best practices. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated, impactful solutions. Explore and apply the latest AI tools and techniques to bring innovation into real projects. Requirements Must-Have Skills To be considered for this role, you must demonstrate three key experience markers: Deep Software Engineering Expertise – Significant, hands-on experience building and scaling robust software systems, ideally full-stack or system-level. Proven External Client-Facing Experience – Comfortable working with external customers, preferably at enterprise level, engaging senior leadership and even C-Level stakeholders. Generative AI Experience or Passion – Either practical experience working on AI/GenAI projects or a clear personal interest and enthusiasm for applying Generative AI to real business challenges. What You Bring 8+ years of hands-on senior software engineering experience. Strong architectural thinking and ability to make sound technical trade-offs. Experience leading workshops or working directly with customers. Excellent communication skills — able to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders. Mentorship or leadership experience guiding engineering teams. Curiosity and hands-on experience with modern AI tools.
