Learning and Development Coordinator
GannettflemingGFT is seeking a Learning and Development Coordinator to join our Human Resources team in Mechanicsburg, PA! This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring regular attendance at our Mechanicsburg office.
What you’ll be challenged to do:As a Learning and Development Coordinator, you will support our growing Talent Management and Learning & Leadership Development function.This newly created role combines learning administration, systems coordination, training logistics, reporting, and employee development support to enable the team to operate more effectively and focus on strategic learning initiatives. The role was designed to centralize administrative and systems-related responsibilities currently shared across multiple team members, creating greater efficiency and consistency across learning and talent programs.
The ideal candidate is equally comfortable coordinating training events, maintaining learning systems and databases, managing logistics, and supporting employee development programs. This role offers exceptional exposure to Talent Management, Learning & Development, Organizational Development, and HR operations, making it an excellent opportunity for someone interested in growing their HR career.
In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Administers learning and development programs by tracking attendance, updating learning management systems (LMS), managing completion records, and preparing reports on training activities and compliance requirements.
- Helps identify training needs and supports recommendations on new or modified programs and activities.
- Coordinates travel and learning program logistics by scheduling training sessions, managing calendars, booking meeting rooms or virtual events, arranging meals and hotel accommodations, communicating details, and other supporting items for participants and facilitators.
- Supports program execution and continuous improvement by collecting participant feedback, compiling post-program evaluation data, monitoring training effectiveness metrics, and assisting with the implementation of new learning programs and processes
- Serves as a point of contact for stakeholders by responding to training inquiries, triaging incoming support tickets, troubleshooting enrollment issues, and supporting managers and employees with learning-related requests.
- Supports the succession management process for the organization.
- Supports the facilitation of People and Organizational Capacity courses including new hire orientation, DiSC assessment, and other related courses.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, Education, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience supporting Human Resources, Talent Management, Learning & Development, of People Operations
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent attention to detail and follow-through.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Experience managing schedules, coordinating events, and maintaining databases.
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
- Experience administering Cornerstone LMS or another enterprise Learning Management System.
- Experience with learning technologies such as LinkedIn Learning.
- Experience with Workday.
- Experience supporting large-scale training initiatives or employee development programs.
