This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys litigation support, thrives in a collaborative team environment, and takes pride in helping attorneys stay organized, prepared, and moving forward. This hybrid position is expected to be in the office at least three to four days per week, with the potential for one to two remote days after the initial training period. • Research online court dockets and agency databases to help track case activity, docketing items, deadlines, and other matter-related information.
  • Draft, edit, proofread, format, and finalize legal documents, correspondence, pleadings, discovery, motions, and other litigation materials from handwritten notes, verbal direction, templates, and attorney instruction.
  • File and serve documents in compliance with applicable local, state, and federal court rules, including electronic filing in state and federal courts.
  • Maintain and organize physical and electronic client files, including pleadings, discovery, correspondence, trial preparation materials, case binders, and related documents.
  • Coordinate conflicts checks, collect and organize information for new matters, assist with opening new matters, and prepare and send engagement letters.
  • Enter attorney time, assist with billing edits, and support monthly billing processes.
  • Submit and track attorney reimbursements, vendor payments, and related administrative requests.
  • Track attorney continuing legal education requirements and maintain related compliance records.
  • Assist with other administrative, litigation support, and practice-management tasks as needed to support attorneys, clients, and the team.

Preferred, but not required: Experience reviewing daily office mail for docketing items, deadlines, and other time-sensitive case-related information.

As part of our commitment to collaboration and excellence, this role requires flexibility in daily work schedules during periods of high workload, adhering to departmental and Firm goals and policies, and performing other duties as assigned to support the success of the department and organization. In addition, employees are expected to learn and effectively use necessary technical skills related to firm-approved technology, including AI products and AI-enabled tools, to perform work efficiently, accurately, and in accordance with firm policies.
