Position Overview The Legal Administrator supports the day-to-day operations of the Legal Department with a primary focus on reporting, analytics, technology administration, and financial coordination. This role transforms legal matter, spend, and operational data into executive- and Board-ready presentations, reports, and dashboards that support informed decision-making across the organization. In this position, you'll work closely with the General Counsel, attorneys, finance partners, IT teams, outside counsel, and legal service providers to ensure the department operates efficiently and effectively. Success in this role requires strong analytical capabilities, exceptional attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and recurring deadlines. This role also supports legal technology administration, vendor management, budgeting activities, and continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen Legal Department operations. What You'll Do Develop executive- and Board-ready presentations, reports, dashboards, and analytics that support Legal Department goals and strategic decision-making Analyze legal matter, spend, and operational data to create meaningful metrics, forecasts, and performance reporting Maintain departmental reporting tools, dashboards, templates, and presentation materials to ensure consistency and efficiency Administer legal technology platforms, including contract lifecycle management, billing, document management, and records systems Partner with attorneys, finance, IT, and business stakeholders to support reporting, system administration, and process improvement initiatives Coordinate invoice processing, budget tracking, spend management, and outside counsel billing activities Manage relationships with outside law firms and legal service providers, including onboarding, billing coordination, and vendor administration Maintain department information repositories, clause libraries, templates, and shared resources Support compliance-related activities, departmental training, and recurring reporting cycles Identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting capabilities, and operational efficiency What We're Looking For Required Qualifications 3+ years of legal administrator experience in a law firm, corporate legal department, or legal operations environment Advanced PowerPoint skills with the ability to build polished executive- and Board-level presentations Advanced Excel and data analysis skills, including experience developing reports, dashboards, metrics, and financial analyses Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and recurring deadlines Experience working with business systems and technology platforms, with the ability to learn new applications quickly Strong financial acumen, including experience supporting budgets, invoice processing, or spend tracking Excellent written and verbal communication skills Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Preferred Qualifications Experience with data visualization or business intelligence tools such as Power BI or Tableau Experience with legal billing systems, contract lifecycle management (CLM) platforms, or document management systems Experience supporting cross-functional teams and business stakeholders Experience with vendor management, forecasting, or budget administration Who Thrives in This Role You may be a great fit if you: Enjoy turning complex data into meaningful insights and actionable recommendations Take pride in creating polished, high-quality presentations and reports Are highly organized and excel at managing recurring deadlines and competing priorities Have strong attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy Enjoy learning new systems and technologies Build effective working relationships across teams and with external partners Look for opportunities to improve processes and enhance operational efficiency Why UniGroup UniGroup is the parent company of United Van Lines and Mayflower Transit, two of the most recognized brands in the moving and logistics industry.
