Job description ENTSO-E is seeking a highly motivated Legal Advisor with a strong interest in European energy law, electricity markets and regulatory developments. In this role, you will provide legal support for the drafting, amendment and implementation of European Network Codes and Guidelines, while ensuring alignment with EU energy legislation and regulatory requirements. You will also contribute to contract management, legal research and stakeholder engagement across the European energy sector. You will join the Legal Section of the ENTSO-E Secretariat in Brussels and work in close collaboration with Secretariat colleagues, Legal & Regulatory Group experts, Market Committee representatives and other key stakeholders. This position offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of law, regulation and energy policy, interacting with TSOs, ACER, the European Commission, the EU DSO Entity and other organisations shaping the European electricity sector. Your responsibilities You will contribute to ENTSO-E's legal and regulatory activities with a particular focus on European electricity market legislation and Network Codes. Your main responsibilities will include: Conduct and review legislative drafting and amendments of Network Codes, methodologies and related legal texts, with a particular focus on electricity markets. Provide legal support for the implementation of Network Codes and Guidelines, ensuring compliance with European energy legislation and regulatory requirements. Cooperate closely with Legal & Regulatory Group experts, Secretariat staff and Market Committee members to develop high-quality legal advice on the implementation of EU energy legislation. Support the drafting, implementation and monitoring of contracts and agreements, while facilitating discussions when required. Conduct legal research and consolidate findings to support decision-making and ensure legal and regulatory compliance across the organisation. Contribute to the preparation of Legal & Regulatory Group meetings and develop reports, briefings and legal materials for the Head of Legal Section, Secretary General, Board and Assembly. Provide legal drafting support to Secretariat staff and Members, fostering legal awareness and best practices across ENTSO-E activities. Engage in transversal cooperation with different Secretariat sections to ensure legal support is aligned with broader organisational priorities and projects. Participate in meetings with the European Commission, ACER and other external stakeholders to represent ENTSO-E's legal interests and contribute to regulatory discussions. Your profile We are looking for a motivated professional with the following skills and qualifications: Master's degree in Law or an equivalent qualification through relevant professional experience. 3-5 years of relevant professional experience in energy law, regulatory affairs, legal advisory services or a related field. Solid knowledge of European energy law, contract law and/or competition law. Strong analytical and legal research skills, with the ability to translate complex legislation into practical advice. Excellent drafting skills and attention to detail. Excellent writing and oral communication/presentation skills in English. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multicultural and multidisciplinary environment. Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
