Legal Assistant
Victoria Legal Aid- Maximum term position up to 2 years
- Salary range: $67,350 - $81,080 plus super
- Up to $15,900 in salary packaging, flexible hybrid work arrangement
- Relocation support's available
You'll also be the first point of contact for clients, welcoming them and managing inquiries both in person and over the phone, while supporting our legal team in a fast-paced environment. The role will provide administrative support across a range of legal practice areas, and the successful candidate must be willing to conduct work across the criminal, child protection and family law spaces.
This role is based at our Wodonga office on Wiradjuri and Dhudhuroa Country.

About YouAs Our Ideal Candidate, You Will Possess
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively, prioritize your workload, and meet deadlines, even in a busy environment.
- An interest in family law and a willingness to undertake a high volume of family law administrative work, alongside administrative support across other practice areas including crime and child protection.
- Strong communication skills to engage with clients empathetically and effectively, especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds.
- A commitment to providing high-quality, client-focused services in a sensitive environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with client database management.
- A proactive attitude and the ability to work effectively in a team setting, contributing to a positive workplace culture.
