We’re looking for an experienced Legal Counsel - Property to join our Property team at the Store Support Centre. This role is a fast‑paced, high‑volume position where you’ll take ownership of national lease documentation, drive deal execution, and play a key role in supporting one of Australia’s most active retail growth pipelines. What you’ll be doing Owning and managing national retail lease precedents, including governance, continuous improvement, and consistency across the portfolio Reviewing, negotiating, and finalising lease documentation for new stores, renewals, relocations, variations, and conversion projects Driving leasing transactions through to execution, ensuring accuracy, commercial alignment, and timely delivery Supporting a high‑volume national growth pipeline alongside a large‑scale store conversion program Partnering closely with Leasing, Store Development, and Finance to deliver seamless leasing outcomes Providing commercial oversight on lease terms, balancing risk, governance, and operational practicality Tracking key lease milestones, proactively identifying risks, bottlenecks, and opportunities to accelerate execution Ensuring consistency and risk alignment across all documentation to support long‑term portfolio performance Driving process discipline and efficiency as part of the broader transformation of the Property function Contributing to the development of scalable systems, frameworks, and documentation to support continued national expansion What you’ll bring Proven experience in retail lease administration, property law, or commercial leasing within a national portfolio Strong capability in reviewing and negotiating lease documentation and managing lease precedents Commercial acumen with the ability to balance risk, governance, and business outcomes Confidence operating in a high‑volume, fast‑paced environment Exceptional attention to detail with strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across internal teams and external stakeholders Experience supporting large‑scale retail portfolios or growth programs is highly regarded What we can offer you The opportunity to play a key role in a major national transformation following Dollarama’s acquisition Direct involvement in modernising and strengthening our national leasing framework Exposure to one of the most ambitious retail growth and store conversion programs in Australia A high‑performing Property team operating at scale across a national footprint Hybrid working model: 3 days in office / 2 days WFH Competitive salary and benefits package Paid parental leave for primary and secondary caregivers Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for you and your family Team Member discount of 15% This is more than a leasing role.
