Legal Graduate, Corporate & Commercial Law (Remote, UK)
Vurabeautyplus Ltd is building Vura, a beauty booking marketplace and community app (iOS, Android and Admin Portal). We're looking for a motivated law graduate who wants real UK experience in corporate and business law, working on a live product from the ground up.
The opportunity
You'll support the legal work behind Vura while we build, helping research, draft and review the legal framework that will protect the platform at launch. You'll work closely with the Founder and gain hands-on experience in a fast-moving tech startup.
What you'll do
• Support the drafting and review of platform policies, including Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Booking, Payment, Cancellation and Refund Policies, Artist/Service Provider Agreements, and Community Guidelines.
• Research UK law relevant to marketplaces, booking platforms and community apps.
• Assist with compliance work covering UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018, the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and consumer distance-selling rules.
• Help assess risks around IP, trademarks, user-generated content and platform liability.
• Support legal advisors and keep legal documents organised and up to date.
• Prepare clear summaries of legal issues for the leadership team.
What we're looking for
• A recent graduate or graduate in Law (LLB, GDL, LLM or equivalent) with a strong interest in corporate and business law.
• Based in the UK and eligible to work in the UK.
• Exceptional attention to detail: you spot the small things others miss.
• Strong research, writing and drafting skills.
• Able to explain legal points in plain English.
• Organised, self-motivated and comfortable working remotely.
• Eager to learn and take on responsibility.
Bonus points
• Internship, vacation scheme, mock trial or legal clinic experience.
• Interest in tech, startups, marketplaces or beauty and wellness.
• Familiarity with data protection or consumer law.
What you'll gain
• Real UK legal experience on a live product build.
• Hands-on exposure to marketplace, tech and data protection law.
• Direct access to the Founder and a genuine voice in a growing startup.
• A strong addition to your CV and portfolio.
Details
• Remote, UK-based.
• Flexible working, with deadlines tied to our build phase.
