Florida Realtors, the state's largest trade association, boasts a rich dedicated history of serving our members, the real estate community, and Florida homeowners for over a century. We stand as a key business partner for Realtors statewide, providing value-adding programs and services, outstanding business contacts and networking opportunities, engaging educational opportunities, up-to-the-minute industry data and research, and powerful legislative representation. The association headquarters is located in Orlando, and the Office of Public Policy is located two blocks from the state capital in Tallahassee. We work tirelessly to advocate for our members, for homeownership for all, and to elevate the real estate industry in the Sunshine State.

Who We're Seeking
Florida Realtors is seeking a knowledgeable and personable attorney for a member-facing role which provides timely and accurate information on real estate related questions and needs. Based in our Orlando HQ, the Legal Hotline Attorney offers a rare opportunity for licensed attorneys to apply their expertise in a dynamic, high-volume call center environment that prioritizes service, accuracy, and professionalism — without the unpredictability and long hours of private practice.

You will field member calls and emails on topics ranging from license law and contracts to complex transactional issues, delivering concise, plain-language answers that members can immediately put into action. In addition to hotline work, you will contribute to the Law & Policy Department’s broader mission through legal research, article drafting, presentations, and committee participation.

Here, success means combining efficiency with empathy — answering questions quickly while ensuring members feel supported and confident in your guidance. With defined work hours, clear performance expectations, and a collegial team, this role balances meaningful impact with work/life stability.

Core Expectations

  • Provide timely, accurate, and practical legal information to members via phone and email.
  • Meet established hotline performance metrics: minimum of 22 calls per day, average call length of approximately 4–6 minutes.
  • Document all interactions in the association’s proprietary system with clarity and completeness.
  • Actively contribute to departmental projects, including research, publications, and presentations.

What Success Looks Like:

  • Consistently high member satisfaction and positive feedback on hotline interactions.
  • Accurate, plain-language legal explanations members can easily understand and act upon.
  • Steady achievement of call volume and time metrics without sacrificing quality.
  • Recognized as a dependable, collaborative, and solutions-oriented member of the team.

What You'll Do

  • Field phone calls through the Florida Realtors Legal Hotline and provide answers, by telephone and any other technology authorized by Florida Realtors, to legal inquiries raised by members.
  • Track member inquiries and responses through proprietary software and ensure resolution to those inquiries.
  • Research real estate legal topics to provide information and answers to members.
  • Attend regular department meetings for collaborative discussions of current trends on the hotline and legal topics impacting members and their businesses. Also attend meetings on topics relevant to the department’s work and prepares a summary of that to share with the department.
  • Conduct legal research as requested by General Counsel or Associate General Counsel and prepare memoranda to summarize findings, analysis, and conclusions.
  • Draft legal articles which summarize current legal issues or trends.

Qualified applicants will possess:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree
  • Active Florida Bar membership in good standing; eligible to practice law in Florida.
  • 1 year or more Legal consulting experience preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and database management software. Ability to use Windows based PC and voice-over IP phone system.
  • Proven track record as a provider of exceptional customer service in any industry.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skillset to include active listening, patience, empathy, phone etiquette, clarity in communication, and proficiency for multitasking.
  • Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills with proven ability to explain in detail steps needed/taken to resolve issues.
  • Strong legal research and writing skills and ability to explain legal research and answers to nonlegal realtors.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot, organize, complete assignments, and complete goals on time and as defined.

Along with our growth-oriented, collaborative team environment, our fulltime people are offered a complete suite of great benefits.

  • Rewarding 401k plan with 6% company match, fully vested
