About Us

Farmer & Morris Law is a growing U.S. law firm serving clients across North Carolina and South Carolina in areas including Social Security Disability, Personal Injury, Workers’ Compensation, Family Law, Bankruptcy, Wills & Estates, and Probate. Each practice area is led by attorneys with specialized experience, supported by teams that work closely together to move cases forward and provide clients with consistent guidance and support throughout the process.

We’re a highly connected, international team, with people working across the United States, Colombia, and the Philippines. Even though much of our work is remote, collaboration is constant. We place a strong emphasis on supporting one another, communicating openly, improving how we work, and creating a positive experience both for our clients and for the people we work alongside every day.

About the Role

We’re looking for a full-time Legal Intake Specialist to join our remote team in Colombia.

Intake is one of the most important client-facing functions in the firm. It is the first interaction a potential client has with us, which means this role helps shape both the client experience and the quality of the information our legal teams receive from the very beginning.

This is a highly interactive, fast-moving role, so strong communication is essential. We’re looking for someone who communicates naturally, listens closely, adapts quickly to different conversations and situations, and feels genuinely comfortable talking with people throughout the day.

Advanced conversational English is a must. You should be able to carry long, fluid conversations, ask thoughtful follow-up questions, explain information clearly, and communicate with confidence and empathy.

Your Day-to-Day

  • Serve as the first point of contact for potential clients seeking legal assistance.
  • Handle inbound calls, outbound follow-up calls, and other inquiries in a professional, confident, and empathetic manner.
  • Conduct structured intake interviews to understand each potential client’s situation.
  • Ask screening and follow-up questions based on the firm’s qualification criteria.
  • Gather and document relevant case information.
  • Maintain complete and up-to-date records in CRM and case management systems.
  • Prepare clear, detailed notes for attorneys and legal teams to review.
  • Follow up with potential clients when additional information or next steps are needed.
  • Coordinate with Intake, attorneys, and other teams to make sure qualified leads move to the appropriate next step.
  • Follow established processes and scripts while adapting naturally to each conversation.
  • Participate in ongoing coaching, training, and feedback.

Requirements

  • Advanced English proficiency, both verbal and written, with the ability to maintain long, fluent, and natural conversations.
  • Strong phone communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent active listening and comprehension.
  • Confidence communicating with a wide variety of people.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to document information accurately.
  • Clear and professional written communication.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Comfortable learning and working across multiple systems and platforms.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while moving between different calls, tasks, and situations.
  • Reliable internet connection and a professional remote-work setup.

Preferred Experience

Previous experience in one or more of the following is strongly valued:

  • Legal intake or law firm environments.
  • Customer service or client support.
  • Working with U.S.-based clients.
  • High-volume phone or call-center roles.
  • CRM or case management systems.

Prior legal experience is helpful, but not required. We provide structured training on our processes, systems, practice areas, and intake criteria.

Hiring Process

Our selection process begins with a short virtual assessment, followed by interviews and additional evaluation for candidates who continue to the next stages.

If you enjoy talking to people, feel confident communicating in English, and like the idea of working in a fast-moving, highly collaborative legal environment, we’d love to hear from you.
