Responsibilities Summary : (Remote/Virtual Role) Responsible for review of company advertising for legal and regulatory compliance. Helps manage legal issues as they relate to advertising, including intellectual property, privacy, contracts and corporate administration. Interacts with business partners from Marketing, Product, Communications and other areas, giving guidance to ensure compliance with company policy and procedures to legal team and/or business partners. Review advertising, marketing and promotional materials to assure Company compliance with applicable laws and regulations; help manage and coordinate feedback from other members of legal team. Provide recommendations to ensure protection of the Company’s reputation and business interests. Identify legal issues and recommend preliminary solutions, escalating complex or novel matters to supervising Counsel. May work with business and technical teams on a day-to-day basis for purposes of identifying, analyzing, and proposing solutions to legal issues. Develop working knowledge of advertising and marketing compliance requirements and serve as a resource to business partners; help provide training and education to marketing and other business teams on advertising-related matters. Assist in developing, maintaining and implementing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements. Support monitoring of legal and regulatory developments and communicate relevant developments to supervising Counsel. Research and analyze regulatory compliance measures in connection with assigned responsibilities, such as various brands, activities and/or contracts as required. Willingness to handle matters beyond core focus areas and to support other legal projects as may be assigned from time to time. Sitting for long periods of time while using office equipment such as computers and phones. Repetitive motions using hands and digits; such as movement of wrists, hands and fingers while picking, pinching and typing during your normal working environment. Minimum Education, Licensure and Professional Certification requirements: 3-5 years paralegal experience in a law firm and/or in-house environment preferred. Familiarity with advertising law and/or other compliance frameworks a plus. Travel: Remote, but willingness to travel to business locations as required. Other/State Specific Compensation: This role pays a base salary between $80,000 and $100,000 per annum, and your actual base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, responsibilities, experience, and location.
