Legal Operations Associate
Albert Bow📢 Legal Operations Associate – Switzerland | Fully Remote
We’re partnering with a fast-growing global HR technology business looking for an organised and commercially minded Legal Operations Associate to join its legal team.
This is a fully remote position based in Switzerland, offering the opportunity to support employment law and compliance matters across multiple European jurisdictions.
You do not need to be a qualified lawyer, but you should have a solid grounding in employment law and be confident researching legislation, preparing legal documents and communicating with clients and employees.
A key part of the position will be acting as the company’s named Responsible Person in Switzerland under SECO labour-leasing requirements. You must therefore live in Switzerland and be comfortable taking practical ownership of its Swiss compliance responsibilities.
What you’ll be doing:
- Supporting employment law and compliance queries across EU jurisdictions
- Assisting with employment contracts, offer letters and mutual separation agreements
- Providing first-line guidance on routine employment terms and workplace policies
- Researching European employment legislation and translating it into practical guidance
- Preparing standard documentation for disciplinary processes under supervision
- Liaising with employees, clients and external legal counsel
- Maintaining documentation for SECO and cantonal audits
- Acting as the primary Swiss contact for relevant regulatory authorities
- Supporting Swiss payroll and HR administration where required
What we’re looking for:
- Practical exposure to employment law through a legal, paralegal, in-house or internship position
- Experience supporting contract drafting and routine employment matters
- Strong legal research and written communication skills
- Confidence handling sensitive employee and client information
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability
- A proactive approach and good judgement around when to escalate
- Based in Switzerland and able to fulfil the Responsible Person requirement
German or French language skills, broader European employment law exposure, or experience within HR technology or legal operations would be advantageous.
This is an excellent opportunity to develop broad international employment law experience while taking genuine ownership of an important Swiss compliance function, all while working fully remote.
