Razom We Stand turns documented evidence into binding European law. We are a European energy and policy organisation, founded in Ukraine in 2022, working across Brussels, Kyiv and London. Our work spans two goals — ending Russian fossil fuel revenues and building the renewable, electrified system that replaces them — across EU regulation, enforcement, Ukraine's accession and the finance behind its reconstruction. We produce the evidence ourselves, because a designation, a court case or a vote requires a documented case rather than an argument.

The Legal Policy and Campaign Officer underpins our work on the clean energy transition and the reduction of fossil fuel use, particularly in the rebuilding of Ukraine. You will bring legal and policy expertise into our advocacy campaigns, strategic legal support and stakeholder engagement — and into the harmonisation of Ukrainian and EU legislation on sanctions implementation, anti-corruption and green law.

Europe's dependency on Russian gas finally has a binding legal floor no government can veto away. Oil does not. Nor does the question of what Ukraine rebuilds with. Those are the files this role works on — and it is a role for someone who wants their analysis to change outcomes rather than sit in a file.

• Produce rigorous legal and policy analysis on Ukraine’s reconstruction, energy transition and democratic resilience.
• Analyse Ukrainian and EU legislation, and turn it into concise legal and policy briefs.
• Track developments in international law, sanctions regimes, anti-money laundering and anti-corruption law.

• Contribute to shaping and delivering our advocacy positions on sanctions accountability and legal reform.
• Play a role in the design of targeted campaigns and policy interventions grounded in legal argument.
• Draft the policy documents, memoranda, open letters and briefings that carry those positions.

• Engage Ukrainian parliamentarians, EU institutions and civil society partners on the files that matter to them.
• Contribute to the coordination of joint advocacy initiatives with Ukrainian and European partners.
• Represent Razom We Stand at assigned national and international advocacy meetings.

• Track and document the cases at the centre of our strategy — sanctions relief, oil and gas advocacy, and accountability cases.
• Work with external experts, legal aid organisations and law firms.
• Keep legal records, documents and case files accurate and current.

• Turn legal analysis into accessible advocacy materials — policy briefs, infographics and explanatory notes.
• Advise on the legal content of media briefings and social media.
• Present and run workshops on the legal issues behind our campaigns.

• Build internal training and resources for staff and partners on priority legal issues — public procurement law, sanctions, and the right to a fair trial.
• Provide technical support to grassroots advocacy organisations and strategic partners.

• A university degree in law or a related field such as public policy, international relations or political science. A specialisation in international, human rights, constitutional or EU law is an advantage.
• A minimum of five years’ experience in legal analysis, public policy, advocacy, or an institutional or parliamentary setting.
• Excellent legal writing, policy development and analytical skills, evidenced by briefs, submissions or legislative analysis you have personally authored.
• The ability to distil complex, high-level legal material into clear and action-orientated advocacy.
• Professional working proficiency in both English and Ukrainian, written and spoken.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work independently in unfamiliar situations alongside cross-functional teams.

• Legislative experience within Ukrainian or European institutions.
• Experience of NGO campaigns, coalition campaigns or civil society activism.
• Subject expertise in transparency, anti-corruption, energy and environment, or sanctions enforcement.
• Previous experience of international fellowships, EU negotiations or multilateral diplomacy programmes.

• Compensation of €28,000 – €45,000 per year. The range reflects location as well as experience: we use a location-based framework, so candidates based in different countries are placed at different points in the band.
• 24 days off, plus a day off on your birthday.
