We are looking for a practice coordinator to support an international private client practice from Bogotá. Our work includes tax and legal matters across the United Kingdom, Spain, Ireland and Latin America, and we write and publish regularly on cross-border tax and legal issues. Possibility to move to full time may open in 2 Quarter 2027.
Minimum 5 years experience in an international firm or in a firm with an international client base, is essential. You will already know how a professional practice runs: how files are opened and kept, how deadlines are tracked, how correspondence with foreign counsel is handled, and what confidentiality means in practice. That grounding matters more to us than any particular qualification.
Availability from 8:00 to 12:00 Bogotá time, Monday to Friday, is essential. That window corresponds to the European afternoon and is when the practice needs cover.
The role
Reporting to managing director, schedule meetings and calls, arrange travel, and keep professional and personal commitments from colliding.
Handle correspondence in English and Spanish: triage it, draft it, follow it up, and make sure nothing waits longer than it should.
Prepare and format documents, keep records and digital files in order, track deadlines, and coordinate with the team and with clients.
Keep the administrative side of the practice moving: filing calendars, client onboarding formalities, supplier and adviser liaison, and the follow-through that comes out of every meeting.
Support research and writing. Locate sources, check references, assemble reading packs, and keep successive drafts straight.
What you need
What you get
Direct access to high-level international legal and tax work, a great bilingual team, a single principal, and real influence over how the practice runs.
Terms
Twenty hours per week, Monday to Friday, ordinarily between 8:00 and 12:00 Bogotá time to give cover during the European afternoon. There is some flexibility on the exact hours for the right candidate.
The engagement can be structured either as a part-time contract of employment or as a contract for services, according to candidate's preference. As an employee, the salary is 4,000,000 COP per month with full Colombian statutory benefits and social security contributions. As an independent contractor, the fee may be negotiated accordingly.
Working from home; your own equipment and connection. The afternoons remain yours.
Apply with a CV and a short note in English explaining why this suits you.
