Protiviti is looking for a Legal Consultant to join our growing Legal Consulting team.


What You Can Expect

As a Consultant, you will receive excellent training and meaningful mentorship while contributing across legal advisory, legal operations, department modernization, AI-enabled legal work, contracts, investigations, and litigation support. You will conduct interviews, compile and analyze information, document findings, and prepare initial deliverables. Through interaction with client and project team personnel, you will develop professional relationships, build core consulting skills, and take ownership of assigned work.

Do Your Talents Include the Following?

  • Experience with or understanding of:
  • Supporting assessments of legal department operations, processes, workflows, organizational needs, and technology use.
  • Assisting with legal modernization and transformation initiatives.
  • Supporting the identification and evaluation of appropriate legal and business uses for AI.
  • Assisting with AI adoption, process design, requirements gathering, testing, documentation, and governance.
  • Reviewing and analyzing contract processes, contract information, and operational data.
  • Conducting stakeholder interviews, research, and fact-finding.
  • Compiling and analyzing qualitative and quantitative information.
  • Preparing process maps, implementation materials, playbooks, reports, presentations, and executive summaries.
  • Documenting findings, assumptions, risks, dependencies, and unresolved questions.
  • Coordinating tasks among attorneys, business professionals, technology teams, and other consultants.
  • Supporting investigations, litigation support, contracts, legal operations, or e-discovery matters when client needs require it.
  • Evaluating, summarizing, organizing, and interpreting data.
  • Managing assigned tasks, deadlines, and deliverable quality.


Your Educational and Professional Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Legal Studies, Business, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Finance, Accounting, Criminal Justice, or a related discipline.
  • One or more years of relevant professional, internship, or substantive project experience.
  • Exposure to consulting, an in-house legal department, legal operations, contracts, investigations, litigation support, compliance, technology, or related professional services preferred.
  • Demonstrated analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication abilities.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort working with structured information and data.
  • Ability to produce accurate, reviewable documentation and incorporate feedback.
  • Exposure to legal technology, contract lifecycle processes, e-discovery, AI-enabled workflows, or legal department transformation preferred, but not required.
  • JD, paralegal credential, CAPM, or relevant technology certification may be helpful, but is not required.


Our Hybrid Workplace

Protiviti practices a hybrid model, which is a combination of working in person with a purpose and working remotely. This model creates meaningful experiences for our people and our clients while offering a flexible environment. The ratio of remote to in-person requirements vary by client, project, team, and other business factors. Our people work both in-person in local Protiviti offices and on client sites, which can include local or out-of-state travel based on our projects and client requests and commitments.

Starting salary is based on a full-time equivalent schedule. Placement in the range is dependent upon experience, skills and geographic work location. Below is the salary range for this job.

$66,000.00 - $100,000.00

Our annual bonus plan provides eligible employees additional cash and/or discretionary stock compensation opportunities. Below is the bonus target opportunity for this job.

The total cash range is estimated from the sum of the base salary range plus the bonus target opportunity. Below is the estimated total cash range for this job.

$68,000.00 - $102,000.00

Employees are eligible for medical, dental, and vision coverages, FSA and HSA healthcare accounts, life and accident insurance, adoption and fertility assistance, paid parental leave up to 10 weeks, and short/long term disability. We offer eligible employees a company 401(k) savings and investment plan with an employer match of 50% on the first 6% of your contributions. We provide Choice Time Off (CTO) for vacation, personal needs, and sick time. The amount of (CTO) varies based on years of service. New hires receive up to 20 days of CTO per calendar year. Protiviti also recognizes up to 11 paid holidays each calendar year.
