Legal Subject Matter Expert (SME) - Germany & Switzerland Remote Legal SME role applying expertise in litigation, contracts, compliance, and IP to annotate legal data, validate AI outputs, and improve accuracy and reasoning in legal AI systems. Work Location: Germany or Switzerland, remote Engagement Model: Freelancer / Independent Contractor Project Duration: 3 months (with potential extension) Work Schedule: Flexible hours, based on the applicant's availability Language Skills Required: German DataForce by TransPerfect is seeking experienced German-speaking Legal Subject Matter Experts with expertise in corporate law, labour law, administrative law, and regulatory compliance in Germany and/or Switzerland. Main Responsibilities Analyze corporate, employment, administrative, and regulatory matters. Research applicable statutes, case law, regulations, administrative decisions, and legal guidance. Review contracts, corporate documentation, employment-related materials, and regulatory filings. Annotate and validate German-language legal datasets. Evaluate AI-generated legal reasoning for jurisdictional and linguistic accuracy. Verify citations, legal terminology, and statutory interpretations. Draft or evaluate legal summaries, memoranda, contractual provisions, and legal opinions. Support AI prompt design and model evaluation. Role Requirements Rechtsanwalt, Swiss-qualified lawyer, JD/LL.M. equivalent graduate, Senior Legal Researcher, or experienced Paralegal. Minimum 3+ years of relevant legal experience . Strong expertise in German and/or Swiss corporate, labour, administrative, or regulatory law. Professional fluency in German. Strong legal drafting and research skills. English proficiency preferred. Familiarity with German-language legal databases and research platforms. Generative AI experience is a plus.
