Summary
We are seeking an experienced Lending Systems Analyst to serve as the business-side technical owner and platform steward for consumer lending applications. This role is ideal for someone who combines strong consumer lending knowledge from a banking or financial-services environment with hands-on experience supporting lending technology. You will work across Product, Operations, IT, Legal & Compliance, Customer Care, and external vendors to ensure lending platforms are properly configured, tested, monitored, and supported. The successful candidate will understand the consumer loan lifecycle and the terminology, workflows, reporting, and KPIs used to evaluate lending operations and platform health. This is not purely an IT systems position. Strong functional knowledge of consumer lending and the ability to translate lending requirements into system capabilities are critical.
What You'll Do
- Serve as the business-side technical project manager and platform steward for assigned consumer lending systems.
- Support lending platform implementations, product launches, enhancements, releases, and ongoing production operations.
- Configure and maintain consumer loan products, including:
- Loan terms
- APR and interest-rate logic
- Payment rules
- Eligibility parameters
- Servicing rules
- Operational controls
- Develop and manage financial-services reports used to monitor SLAs, KPIs, platform health, and operational performance.
- Partner with Product, Lending Operations, IT, Legal, Compliance, and Customer Care to gather and document business requirements.
- Translate lending and operational requirements into system configurations, workflows, and enhancement requests.
- Coordinate with external lending-platform vendors regarding configuration, defects, dependencies, enhancements, testing, and implementation.
- Manage platform users, roles, permissions, and access controls.
- Develop test cases and lead or support UAT, regression testing, release validation, and defect triage.
- Troubleshoot lending-system issues and perform root-cause analysis.
- Coordinate issue resolution between business teams, technical teams, and vendors.
- Maintain configuration documentation, process flows, change history, support documentation, and training materials.
- Support loan-servicing workflows involving:
- Payments and payment adjustments
- Payoff quotes
- Account-status changes
- Hardship and modification processes
- Collections
- Settlements
- Charge-offs
- Statements and notices
- Operational reporting
- Help ensure systems support appropriate audit trails, controls, reporting, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor system performance, operational trends, support issues, and user feedback.
- Identify opportunities for automation, process improvement, and platform enhancements.
- Support launch readiness and post-launch stabilization for new products and platform changes.
Experience You'll Need
- Strong consumer lending knowledge gained within a bank, credit union, fintech, or comparable financial-services environment.
- Understanding of the consumer loan lifecycle, from loan setup/booking through servicing, payments, collections, payoff, and account resolution.
- Experience supporting lending, loan servicing, banking, payments, collections, or related financial-services technology platforms.
- Understanding of lending terminology, operational reporting, KPIs, SLAs, and platform-performance monitoring.
- Experience with business systems administration and workflow configuration.
- Experience gathering and documenting business and system requirements.
- Ability to translate lending-business requirements into system configuration or technical enhancement requests.
- Experience with UAT, test-case development, regression testing, release validation, and defect management.
- Experience supporting system implementations, platform onboarding, production support, or release management.
- Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
- Experience working with external technology/platform vendors.
- Strong analytical, documentation, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
