What We Are Looking For:
Aird & Berlis LLP is looking for a dependable and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Part-Time Library Clerk. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and comfortable working independently in a professional environment. We are looking for someone who is methodical, resourceful, and takes pride in being accurate, reliable, and accountable for their work.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting with the processing and distribution of library materials and lawyer desk copies
- Opening and sorting mail and incoming book deliveries
- Processing and sorting loose-leaf filing and updating of law binders in the library
- Carding of books
- Shelving library books and publications according to the KF-Modified classification system
- Assisting the Supervisor, Library Services on special projects
- Additional clerical duties as assigned
- Produce the highest quality of work
- Accountable for all work assigned

Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year experience working in a law library or similar professional setting is preferred
- Must be able to carry out routine, methodical tasks efficiently using print resources
- Ability to lift 30 pounds
- Must be able to move and unpack boxes of books, load books on a book truck and push a book truck
- Must be able to climb a step stool and/or ladder to retrieve and shelve books

Compensation:
The salary range for this position is 18-20/hr; the base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal and market equity.
