Oceanview Life and Annuity Company is seeking a Licensed Annuity Specialist – Direct Consumer to support consumers exploring, purchasing, or already owning Oceanview annuity products.
The Licensed Annuity Specialist will serve as a trusted resource for consumers engaging directly with Oceanview through our website, marketing and digital channels, existing policyholder relationships, and other direct inquiries. Unlike a traditional financial advisor role, this position does not require building a personal book of business or providing comprehensive investment or financial-planning advice. Instead, the Specialist will focus on helping consumers understand Oceanview's fixed and fixed indexed annuity solutions and navigate the purchase and ownership experience.
The Specialist will engage prospective customers, explain product features using approved information and materials, prepare and review illustrations, and help consumers progress from initial inquiry through application, funding, and policy issuance. The role will also maintain relationships with Oceanview's direct and house-account policyholders and provide licensed support to consumers engaging through Oceanview's evolving Direct Digital experience.
Success in this position requires a consultative sales approach, strong communication and follow-through, sound judgment, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering a high-quality consumer experience within a regulated environment.
Responsibilities
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Consumer Sales & Engagement
- Respond promptly and professionally to inbound consumer inquiries and leads generated through Oceanview's website, marketing activities, digital experiences, existing policyholder relationships, and other direct channels.
- Engage consumers in consultative conversations to understand their questions, objectives, and circumstances and help them evaluate applicable Oceanview annuity solutions.
- Clearly explain Oceanview's fixed and fixed indexed annuity products, including applicable rates, guarantee periods, liquidity provisions, surrender charges, crediting strategies, and other contract features using approved materials and communications.
- Prepare and review product illustrations and other approved product information with prospective customers.
- Help consumers understand the steps associated with purchasing an annuity and provide guidance throughout the applicable Oceanview sales and application process.
- Deliver a responsive, professional, and educational experience that builds consumer confidence and trust in Oceanview.
Lead Management & Follow-Up
- Manage a pipeline of prospective customers at different stages of the decision-making and application process.
- Conduct proactive and thoughtful follow-up with consumers who have expressed interest but are not yet ready to complete a purchase.
- Nurture warm opportunities through appropriate ongoing communication until the consumer is ready to proceed or indicates they are no longer interested.
- Prioritize outreach based on consumer needs, level of interest, prior interactions, and available lead and activity information.
- Maintain disciplined follow-through on consumer questions, commitments, applications, and outstanding items.

- Clearly communicate status, outstanding requirements, and next steps throughout the process.
Direct & House-Account Policyholder Relationships

- Capture recurring consumer questions, objections, feedback, and other insights and share relevant themes with internal stakeholders.
- Contribute insights that may help improve product communications, marketing, digital experiences, operational processes, and consumer education.
Compliance & Professional Standards
