About the Role

Be the first clinical connection for teens and families seeking care at Adolescent Wellness Academy. You’ll lead Connection Calls: brief intake consultations with adolescents ages 13–17 and their caregivers to understand their concerns, assess safety and treatment needs, and determine whether our PHP or IOP program is an appropriate fit.

These conversations combine clinical screening with compassionate guidance. You’ll help teens feel comfortable engaging in treatment, answer caregivers’ questions, and identify concerns requiring escalation or a different level of care. After each call, you’ll document your findings and coordinate next steps with Admissions and clinical teams.

Availability & Compensation

• Must be available Monday–Friday, 5:00–8:00 PM EST
• Consultations depend on demand; you will not always be scheduled during this window
• Guaranteed minimum of 5 paid hours per week
• $35 per hour worked, including consultations, documentation, and related clinical tasks
• Log actual hours worked; the full availability window is not automatically paid
• Complete documentation immediately after each screening

What You’ll Do

• Conduct Connection Calls with teens and caregivers
• Build rapport, assess treatment readiness, and explain PHP/IOP options
• Complete brief CALOCUS screenings, crisis assessments, and suicide risk assessments
• Use de-escalation skills and recognize when immediate escalation or a higher level of care is needed
• Navigate difficult family conversations with clarity and compassion
• Document findings and coordinate with Admissions and clinical teams

Required Qualifications

• Active, full Florida licensure as an LMHC, LCSW, or LMFT (or equivalent)
• Fluency in English and Spanish, including clinical conversations with teens and families
• Clinical experience with adolescents and adolescent PHP/IOP care
• Experience in crisis assessment, suicide risk assessment, and de-escalation
• Strong clinical judgment and timely, independent decision-making
• Ability to remain calm, organized, and effective during high-risk situations
• Private workspace for confidential remote consultations
• Consistent availability Monday–Friday, 5:00–8:00 PM Eastern

Registered intern or provisional status does not meet the licensure requirement.
