Summary
As relates to the enterprise's role as a healthcare staffing agency and managed service provider, Licensing Paralegal ensures organizational compliance with applicable legal standards. including all relevant federal and state regulations, licensure, regulatory filings and reporting. This role establishes and maintains collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders and external resources. This position will plan and execute the activities required for the Risk team as it pertains to Licensing and Regulatory compliance initiatives, policies, and procedures and designated projects.

The Licensing paralegal works with various stakeholders across functional areas to meet compliance objectives.
What you’ll be doing
Relative to the enterprise's role as a healthcare staffing agency and managed service provider:
- Develop and maintain a broad working knowledge and awareness of business-related compliance and regulatory matters
- Assists in organizational activities and processes to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, accreditation requirements, and internal policies and procedures
- Lead or Assist with the coordination of various enterprise-level initiatives (e.g., data privacy, state licensure) as delegated
- Develop and maintain an understanding of the organization and its subsidiaries' organizational structure and lines of authority, and internal audit policies, procedures, and practices to assist with organizational needs
- Update regulatory or license renewals including healthcare staffing agency ("nursing pool") licenses, state fees, data calls, surveys or state requests and inquiries as needed or requested, as delegated
- Represent risk/compliance on special projects as designated and during meetings and work products

What we’re looking for

1+ years of research experience. analyzing. summarizing and guiding the implementation of compliance-related regulations

1+ year reviewing, implementing. and/or providing regulatory, compliance, certification or licensing compliance within a corporate or organization framework Excellent written and verbal skills; high level of comfort facilitating conversations with organizational leaders

Highly developed research and analytical skills

Proficient in MS office, and other methods of communication such as state portals, software, and electronic communication methods.

Ability to adapt and willingness to work on a variety of matters, initiatives and projects

Ability to collaborate and build partnerships with several business units in the company

Extremely detail oriented and ability to work independently

Highly motivated self-starter who excels in a fast-paced, short deadlines
Will consider a suitable combination of education, training/experience.
It would be nice to have
- Degree or certification in legal, paralegal, law, state licensing/regulatory work or healthcare equivalent experience
Compensation
$29.00 per hour
