Role Description The Life Planner is a full-time, hybrid role based in the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, with flexibility for some work-from-home arrangements. The Life Planner will meet with clients to understand their financial protection needs, explain Takaful and insurance solutions, and recommend suitable plans. Daily tasks include prospecting for new clients, following up on leads, conducting needs analyses, preparing proposals, and managing policy applications and renewals. The role also involves maintaining long-term client relationships, providing ongoing service and claims support, and participating in sales and marketing activities such as roadshows, webinars, and community engagements. Life Planners will collaborate with team members, attend training and coaching sessions, and work toward defined sales and service targets.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge and interest in Insurance and General Insurance to advise clients on appropriate protection and Takaful solutions.
  • Demonstrated Sales skills, including prospecting, negotiation, and closing, to achieve and exceed performance targets.
  • Marketing capabilities to support client acquisition, branding initiatives, and outreach activities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts clearly and build trust-based relationships.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work both independently and as part of a team in a hybrid environment.
  • Comfortable using digital tools, CRM systems, and online communication platforms for client engagement and reporting.
  • Prior experience in financial services, insurance, or customer-facing roles is an advantage.
  • Minimum diploma or bachelor’s degree in any field is preferred; relevant professional certifications in insurance or Takaful are beneficial.
