Project Overview
We are launching a Germany-focused academic outreach pilot and are looking for a Germany-based consultant to help us connect with the right people in the German research community — identifying relevant contacts, initiating outreach, and arranging qualified demos, pilot discussions, or user interviews.
Key Responsibilities —
• Build a targeted list of approximately 40–50 relevant German academic or research contacts
• Identify suitable contacts: PIs, group leaders, postdocs, research project managers, science communication managers
• Draft and refine outreach emails and LinkedIn messages
• Contact selected targets and follow up professionally
• Follow up on positive replies and help convert them into qualified product demo meetings, pilot discussions, or user interviews
• Provide feedback on German academic market positioning and partnership channels
• May support selected offline outreach activities in Germany where relevant, such as local networking, workshop introductions, demo session coordination, or in-person meeting coordination
~
Ideal Candidate Profile
• Strong understanding of the German academic or research ecosystem
• Experience in academic outreach, research partnerships, scientific BD, life sciences, biomedical research, medicine, scientific communication, or B2B lead generation
• Strong German communication skills are preferred; native or near-native German is a strong plus
• Prior experience communicating with German universities, research institutes, or labs is highly valuable
• Self-motivated, organized, comfortable managing outreach independently
~
Cooperation Model
Flexible freelance, part-time, advisory, or project-based arrangement. Initial phase is a 6–8 week pilot project, with potential for a longer-term Academic BD / Partnership Partner role depending on results.
