As an intern, you’ll gain hands-on experience supporting sales operations, engaging with customers, analyzing markets, and contributing to initiatives that help laboratories around the world advance their science. We are hiring one technical sales intern for the Cellular and Molecular Research Division to start in December 2026. Candidates should be currently enrolled in their 2nd or 3rd year at an accredited university in a 4-year degree program in a STEM field – such as Biochemistry, Biology, Molecular Biology, Biomedical Engineering, or a related discipline. This role will be remote (Burlington, VT or Boston, MA). Market Focus Area: Biological Life Sciences You will support teams working with customers who rely upon automated cell imaging, real time metabolic and functional analysis, flow cytometry, genetics/genomics, and fast, reliable molecular and synthetic biology workflows to deliver deeper, quantitative insights into sample health, behavior, and disease-relevant biology. Key Responsibilities: Customer Engagement: Connect with new and existing customers, generate and qualify leads, and support follow-up activities with sales teams. Sales Operations & Campaign Support: Assist in inbound/outbound activities, track campaign performance, and maintain accurate customer and opportunity data in CRM systems. Project Ownership: Lead independent, high-visibility projects that provide meaningful value to Agilent's sales organization and customers. Market Research & Sales Tactics: Analyze markets and translate insights into actionable sales strategies. Product & Workflow Learning: Receive training on Agilent’s instrument portfolio and workflow solutions. Qualifications What you bring: Strong analytical, organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills. Clear and confident communication skills - written, verbal, and by phone. Self-motivation and a careful, detail-oriented approach to following instructions. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams) and experience with spreadsheet data. A curious mindset, adaptability, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, collaborative team environment. Experience in customer-facing or student leadership roles (e.g., sales, tutoring, academic advising, peer ambassador programs, etc.). Work Conditions & Schedule: Duration: 15 months. Start Date: Targeted for December 2026 start date. Schedule: Full-time during summer (40 hours per week); part-time during the school year (12-20 hours per week). Work Model: Remote, open to candidates in Burlington, VT and Boston, MA Agilent provides a laptop and necessary equipment for the internship term. Compensation & Benefits: Hourly Pay: $29.04–$32.00 (Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location.) Paid holidays and medical benefits eligibility. Professional development sessions, workshops, and mentorship. Exposure to sales, marketing, manufacturing, product development, and technical support functions. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
